What was Trayvon’s physical size. Was he big enough to take on Zimmerman?

According to the police report, Martin was 6'0" and 160 lbs., and Zimmerman was 5'9" & no weight recorded.

Not necessarily in the same weight class, but 'out-reach' is usually better than 'out-weigh'.

As Obama said on multiple occasions to leaders of small countries (there is a Danish vid on YouTube showing many of them), Trayvon punched above his weight!

Martin was a 17 year old, 6'3” football player weighing in at about 160 lbs

My son was about 6'4” and 175 lbs when he played high school a football at 17 years old so he was a “bean pole” just like Martin has been described as.

Despite being a “bean pole”, my son could easily bench press 285 lbs and curl over 100 lbs for multiple sets of 12 reps. He was also an accomplished wrestler and could throw a heck of mean punch, and when you are in the 6'3”-6'4” range you have a huge reach advantage over a much smaller opponent like Zimmerman

At the time I was middle age, 6'0”, 235 lbs and could bench press over 300 lbs and was actually stronger than he was in the weight room, but I have no doubt he could have hurt me really bad if he was angry and push came to shove.

Zimmerman was pushing 30, 5'3” tall and 200 lbs and reputedly not in the greatest of shape.

It would be a mistake to underestimate how badly Martin could hurt Zimmerman and how mismatched the fight between an in shape 17 year old 6'3”, 160 lb football player and a an out of shape 30 year old 5”3”, 200 lb man would be.
