Sometimes Hollywood casting directors must chuckle into their sleeves at the way their decisions drive conservatives to distraction. Case in point - this news flash concerning Oscar-winner Jane Fonda's new project: Jane Fonda is going to be playing Nancy Reagan in a new movie. Oh yes. According to Variety, the reviled-by-conservatives actress/activist has joined the cast of "The Butler," the new Lee Daniels drama about a White House servant (Forest Whitaker) whose career lasted from the Truman Administration to Ronald Reagan's. Daniels is also looking to Liam Neeson to play Lyndon Johnson and John Cusack to play Richard Nixon. Arch-liberals Fonda and Cusack playing a pair of major figures on the Right? Conservatives should stock up on antacids starting ... now.

ET was my last. It was a good movie.
Wasn’t that like back in the early 80’s?
Thanks for the ping!
Won’t make a dime if no ones goes to see it. F**k Jane Fonda, she’s a dried-out old Sixties hag whom at least two generations of Americans know nothing about or even care. And to a generation who do know, nothing she will ever do will erase the stench of treason she reeks of.
The movie ET 1982. Time flys doesn't it?
I had to google the date. It was a cute movie.

H/T Boazo
Yeah, baby! What you said!
I have to admit, though, that the first thing I noticed is that she’s way too tall.
Nancy is a very petite woman. Fonda can’t slump big enough for her portrayal to be believable. lol
I remember watching SNL because Sarah was supposed to be on. As soon as I saw her, my comment was that she didn't look anywhere near as attractive and intelligent as I'd thought before. It was, of course, Tina Fey.
One word.
Boycott.
I think personally she too tall to play Nancy Nancy was petite if I remember
You know who could play her she play her in that horrible CBS Mini series the Reagan Judy Davis
Love it! What a pleasure that would be.
