The problem with articles like this is that they just explain what we know, and are not proactive about doing anything about it. The presupposition of conservatives is we are nice guys... which is true, unfortunately, with that presupposition is the belief that we do not attack.... Well...that is the problem. We are constantly reacting to liberals attacks on our side. Why do we not begin attacking the left politically economically, and consistently? Why do we have to wait to have them do something before we react to it? We need to figure out ways to throw barricades in their path, blind side them, sand bag their efforts. We need to shed the, “ Oh we cant be mean” attitude and start knocking them off their game. We will never convince them over to our side by our sound arguments. Shift your perspective this morning. Think about, “how can i screw up a liberals day, just for the fact they are a liberal and nothing more?” Be proactive.

Your points are interesting. But, when we employ the same tactics as they do, we become them. I know this idea doesn't solve anything either. Just be aware of the danger.

To me the major differences is the “touch stone” of where we test the trueness of something. So what are the touchstones?

Feelings - our usual impression of liberals. They don't want to offend anyone, We must tolerate all ideas and behaviors. Most liberals lean on their own understanding.

Experiences- Most peoples understanding of history is what they have experienced in their lives. Many conservatives are here. Their lives have revolved around government and all the answers are in government. Conservatives want to pass just as many laws to solve the problems and don't want to think of the unintended consequences. Remember the standard Nuremberg defense, "I only did what I was told."

The Constitution - occasionally this will be brought up, but I know a lot of conservatives who will run over the Constitution to achieve their goals.

The Bible - nuff said, usually not close to what we think is true and right. Most people would rather eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil where WE get to decide.

Any other touchstones? Do you get people to change touchstones? Most people don't change until they HAVE to. So what does the "have to change" situation look like?

Take your kids out of public schools. Do whatever you think right about reducing the taxes you pay for public schools and other forms of welfare that breed more liberals. Starve the beast.

I want to live long enough to see the conservative-liberal controversy reach its natural conclusion. i.e., an agreement to fight it out or go their separate ways.

But, there’s the worry that the disagreement might fester long enough so that I won’t be physically able to participate in the battle, if that’s what it comes to.

It's amazing how much we still hear about Nazis and the KKK

...and how little we hear about the "New Black Panthers", even now with their calls for bounties and lynching.

Although I’ve made it a point, through my personal worldview studies, to understand the liberal neurosis, and the base assumptions thereof,

I find the most frustrating thing is that they are in such denial that they support the causes of communism and fascism through their advocacy.

Of course, that plays to #4, the basis of the reason for a sheeperal to be “liberal” is to feel good about themselves, and admitting the communist/fascist effect of their worldview would be counterproductive to that end.

Huh?

Worry not, sister.

For more than a few here, it's SOP to make something about the GOP no matter the subject.

Just roll your eyes and move on.

Where there's a shell, there's a way.

25 years ago, we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, and Bob Hope.
Today we have Obama, no cash, and no hope!

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.

Or you can get raw with these strings.

How about this gamechanger from America's Got Talent (which they SHOULD have won).

And finally, this, dedicated to the one and only rdb2, whose eyes are growing dim.

Either way, the violin is sweet yet LETHAL.

Do it!
