Witnesses Back Up Zimmerman's Account Of Attack In Trayvon Martin Shooting, Police Say

With a single punch, Trayvon Martin decked the neighborhood watch volunteer who eventually shot to death the unarmed 17-year-old, then climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloody and battered, authorities told The Orlando Sentinel.

That is the account Zimmerman gave police, and much of it has been corroborated by witnesses, authorities said.

Here's a link to a written transcript of Zimmerman's call. Contrary to what has been posted here there is zero indication that Zimmerman was returning to his truck. He had already told the dispatcher where his truck was parked but then asked the dispatcher to have to responders call him so he could tell them where he was.....

We had a multi-ethnic criminal gang operating in Springfield for quite some time. They'd have a dozen or so get together and move into a store and cruise around shoplifting. Then, at a signal they'd leave the store.

One evening they pulled that in a 7/11 and one of the Indian clerks recognized them ~ so they killed him.

After months of complaint the cops finally broke up the gang, arrested them all (white, black, brown, yellow, etc.) and sent them to prison. The local grocery stores just weren't the same anymore.

More recently a black "flashmob' was operating in Montgomery county MD (NOT THAT far away). Improved security camera systems IDd a bunch and they got caught quickly.

You just can't go anywhere these days without being filmed.

Zimmermanb was told by the 911 dispatcher to not follow the individual, to which he responded, "OK".

There is no evidence thereafter that he did any more following.

In fact, he was clearly winded at that point and indicates he was retturning to his car when he was confronted and attacked by Trayvon.

The eyewitness account of the struggle tends to support this. Given Zimmerman's injuries, given Zimmerman's account, given the corroborating account of the eyewitness, the Police reached the conclusion that it was self-defense.

Now a special investigative team will review all of that and either decide to convene a grand jury or not.

We do know that the MSM, the race baiters (Sharpton, Jackson, etc.) and even the president are using this politically and have attempted to paint the story exactly the opposite, even down to the pictures of the two individuals that they show all over the country.

Now, apparently, that is all falling apart.

Trayvon had the right to be there. Zimmerman had the right to observe and even follow him as long as he did not threaten, attack, or restrain him.

Apparently Trayvon did not like being followed, so much so that he was willing to confront and attack Zimmerman. He had no right to do that given what we know. Unless more evidence comes out showing that Zimmerman physically incited the physical attack (meaning he attacked Trayvon first), then things are looking worse and worse for Trayvon's case, or that of the people trying to show that Zimmerman deserves to be arrested...in fact who are already trying and convicting Zimmerman in the public eye.

If Trayvon had not been shot, it could very well be that Zimmerman could have been the one in the morgue. And there have been hints from those close to the case (Joe Oliver, the media spokesman for Zimmerman) that there was some sort of struggle over the weapon.

Zimmerman believed his life was in danger and was the one calling for help. Until all the facts are in, sarcastic remarks serve no real purpose. We do know that the police have not arrested Zimmerman because the physical evidence and witness testimony support his version of the story.

When Zimmerman turned around he undoubtedly crossed Martin's route of retreat ~ remember he was only about 60 feet (three townhouse widths) from his front door.

If everything you allege about Zim behavior is true, Zim can no use self defense as reason to shoot. It is like I agitated a person and he got mad and swung at me and pinned me to the ground in a fight. While losing and being pummeled, I pulled out my pistol and shot him. The issue is chain of events and when the chain of events were broken. If Zim decided to retreat to his SUV but before he parted and told Martin that the cops were coming and he plans to go back to his SUV and watch them kick his ass. He still has not broken the chain of events because his parting words escalated the situation and not lowered it. On the other hand he tells Martin, fine I don’t want any trouble and I will go back to may SUV and wait for the cops. If Martin felt Zim’s tone of voice was disrespectful and he decided to teach him a lesson, then Martin is now the aggressor and Zim is the defender. In other words depending on the facts, who ends up being the defender can flip between Martin and Zim when the two confronted each other before the fighting starts. My money is no matter what really happened, if Zim has a good lawyer he wil avoid any pitfalls in his statements.

This all makes a lot of sense to even the most hardened person if you imagine Zimmerman having his pistol out.

Imagine is the operative word. There is nothing to indicate that Zimmerman had "his pistol out." You are making things up to justify your imagined narrative of what happened. Physical evidence and witness testimony say otherwise, which is why the police could not arrest Zimmerman.

They have started a review of “ALL” stand your ground laws, castle doctrine, and any kind of self defense laws.

They want to make it illegal for you to defend yourself.

There is something else people aren't paying attention to. They are starting to gin up the “Racial Profiling” BS. They are trying to expand racial profiling to include private citizens not just law enforcement.

If a white defends himself against a minority, then they will have to defend themselves against racial profiling charges.

If people want to put a stop to this crap there needs to be a steady drumbeat of people referring to Bill Clinton getting sued for ordering his Arkansas State Troopers to Racial Profile.

Anytime racial profiling is brought up by the so called Black leaders, they need to be asked why did they find it OK for Bill Clinton to racial profile.

It seems that his account is consistent with witnesses’ accounts. The problem is that the no witnesses saw the start of the fight.

That may not be true. Joe Oliver, Zimmerman's media spokesman, said there is other evidence that will come out that will exonerate Zimmerman, including eyewitness testimony. We do know from the City Manager's statement of events that the physical evidence and witness testimony support Zimmerman's version of self-defense, which is why the police did not arrest Zimmerman. Let the evidence all come out rather that trying to speculate what may or may not be the facts?

Remember, presuming Zim goes to court, he will have his own lawyer there. Martin will have yet another lawyer from the state’s attorney’s organization who views this as something less than interesting or meaningful.
