Witnesses Back Up Zimmerman's Account Of Attack In Trayvon Martin Shooting, Police Say
Orlando Sentinel ^ | 3/26/12 8:33 p.m. EST | RENE STUTZMAN

With a single punch, Trayvon Martin decked the neighborhood watch volunteer who eventually shot to death the unarmed 17-year-old, then climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloody and battered, authorities told The Orlando Sentinel.

That is the account Zimmerman gave police, and much of it has been corroborated by witnesses, authorities said.

All Martin had to do was go home. He could filed a complain that night with management.

Never bring a fist to a gun fight.

Yes, an attack so brutal Zimmerman's brains dripped out all over the grass ~ he died you know.

So, using your "logic", if I have a CCW permit and am carrying a gun, and someone pulls a knife and starts attempting to stab me, I have to wait until he strikes me with a lethal knife wound to be justified at shooting him in self defense.

You should move to England, your views on self-defense would fit right in there.

But here, you're just a troll, an idiot and a tool of the left. And a utter embarassment to FR. We defend the human right of self-defense here, not demean and belittle it.

“Maybe a few more thugs thinking “that guy might shoot me if I jump him” would be a good thing.”

An armed society IS a polite society.

An unarmed society is a jungle. All the biggest get to beat and have their way with the smallest.

(Any women on these threads defending that dead POS should remember that - cause you are pretty much always the smallest.)

When Zimmerman turned around he undoubtedly crossed Martin's route of retreat ~ remember he was only about 60 feet (three townhouse widths) from his front door.

This all makes a lot of sense to even the most hardened person if you imagine Zimmerman having his pistol out.

Any evidence Zimmerman was looking for trouble? Also just because you never got attacked doesn’t prove anything. Some people are never in car accidents, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear a seatbelt.

I’m curious, what are you doing on a “conservative” forum?<>I've asked that question before and never gotten an answer that made sense!

Trayvon was not a “bad seed.” He was another child not brought up properly. His “parents,” (apparently only in the sense of biology) stood there and watched the parade of suspensions and did nothing.

>>I didn’t even get attacked there, and the armed Postal inspector who accompanied me didn’t even get a shot off at anybody.<<

Hmmmmm, I worked in Downtown Cleveland and knew people who DID get attacked there. Did you ever think that because you had an Armed Postal inspector with you, thugs knew not to touch you? You’re not thinking while you are trying to prove a point? Do you think that if someone jumped you and was beating your head into the sidewalk the inspector should just walk away?

Where is the 911 tape from Martin?

Yes, an attack so brutal Zimmerman's brains dripped out all over the grass ~ he died you know.
Then Trayvon began playing with the pistol like a children's toy and accidentally shot himself. (/s)
Zimmerman's injuries were so severe he didn't bother going to the hospital ~ just walked home nekkid from downtown Sanford ~ his clothing having been left at the police station for forensic examination. (/s)
Trayvon, though, was left at the morgue.
Do you see the problem here ~ bet you don't.

Holy smokes....are you for real??? Are you related to Traytray the thug?

I was going to respond to your adolescent drama queen intellectual posturing with an acidic drive-by snark, but given the fact that you’ve been posting here for over 13 years, you can’t be a 14 year-old.

Here’s some stock market advice - whatever you have invested in this story is lost, so sell - sell now!

I heard some audio of one of the NBP leaders claiming that “entertainers and athletes” had contributed to the bounty fund.

I’d really like to know which entertainers and athletes are involved.

Glad to see you've come over to the Dark Side Dirtboy. Earlier you were ranting about the idea that the only thing that matters is who hits who first. Now you'll go for the 'whoever shows murderous intent".

You still have a way to go ~ the Florida law requires only that the eventual killer "perceive a threat of lethal force'.

Put those old standards out of your mind and move into the 21st century. Martin had only to observe this armed man following him no matter which way he went. He wasn't privy to the conversation Zimmerman was having with the dispatcher.

I suppose it's OK FOR YOU to devise a personal COAN that brings Zimmerman into view first, but it's Martin who was being followed ~ and who had a right to self defense, even to the point of inflicting lethal force on his tormenter.

I find it quite difficult to believe that so many fail to be able to look at both sides. Remember, Florida law does not require you to retreat. That was repealed.

I have been very very critical of Zimmerman on other threads. There is the first hand source of his 911 call that puts him in a very bad light as far as anger, frustration, hostility, adrenaline.

According to a UPI article, he told the police he had gotten out of his car to look at a street sign which is not credible - he would know where he was in that small familiar development. But as we know, there have been many inaccurate reports and he may or may not have said that. The first hand source of the police reports is needed.

So that to me is the negative side for Zimmerman.

In his favor, when he gave his account of the fight, he could have no idea what witnesses had seen or not seen and what they would tell police. It seems that his account is consistent with witnesses’ accounts. The problem is that the no witnesses saw the start of the fight.

Also in his favor, he did not pull his gun immediately in the fight. Maybe that is only because he couldn’t. But he is yelling repeatedly for help for quite a while, and then there is a changed yell - more anguished if you will and I am not sure whose voice it is. There is a loud bang that is not the shot. Then comes the shot. This is recorded on the witnesses’ 911 calls.

He should have never followed Martin in the explosive frame of mind he was in. He is morally culpable as far as that goes. But if it was Martin who started the fight then Zimmerman is not legally culpable. And again, no one knows if Martin perceived him as a threat or as an affront.

Trayvon is missing the magic ingredient ~ no time spent in prison.

Trayvon would have been in prison soon enough. Over at this thread it comes out that school officials suspended him in October for graffitiing a locker. When the searched his bag, they found "Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described the screwdriver as a burglary tool" [from linked article].

As more info comes out, I predict you're going to eat your words.
