Santorum: I Would Run as Romney’s VP

With his chances of gaining the GOP nomination slipping, Rick Santorum said on Monday that, if asked, he would consider an offer to be Mitt Romney’s running mate in the fall general election.

The former senator from Pennsylvania responded “of course,” when David Brody asked him the question during an interview for the Christian Broadcasting Network.

Santorum has no principles, has no pride. Now, after months of slamming Willard the liberal as being a clone of Barry the socialist, he says he would be his VP if asked. I felt like throwing up as I read this article.

Even though Romney is the ‘worst republican in the country’ to put up against Barack Obama in November?

Santorum has also said the country would be better off reelecting Obama over Willard the liberal because nothing will change in a Willard presidency.

Of course he would. I saw through this game back in June BEFORE Santorum gained any traction and posted here. Check out my posts. Some gullible people who do not understand politics opposed my claim. Santorum is part of the Karl Rove gang as is Mitt Romney.

The original idea was for Santorum to quit after SC or FL and pretend to stand for unity. Then some of the gullible fools would peddle the line that we can tolerate Mitt Romney because he at least has a conservative as his running mate. Santorum is no conservative but a radical socialist who knows to speak against abortion and homosexuality.

Newt said it yesterday too but since “conservatives” have adopted the same cowardly tactics of the left you won’t hear that in the echo chamber.

This is NOT legit.

Asked by the Christian Broadcasting Network if he would consider a vice presidential offer, Santorum replied, "Of course. I mean, look. I would do in this race as I always say, this is the most important race in our country's history. I'm going to do everything I can. I'm doing everything I can"

"Romney" was never specified

This is Newsmax, assuming that Romney will win the nomination, then that Santorum would sign on to Romney.

Brokered convention?

Shameful. Utterly shameful. What little respect I had for Santorum just evaporated.

Can we PLEASE get rid of all these jokers at a brokered convention? Romney is a socialist, Paul is a kook, Santorum is a sell-out, and Newt apparently has too much baggage for the average voter to stomach.

You are full of it. Really full of it. I heard the clip and he never mentioned Romney.

Newt also said the same except he said “he doubted Romney would ask him”.

Some folks around here are as guilty as the left in distorting what was actually said. And for no reason at all because Newt is not going to win anything.

OK, Rick....

Whatever shred of credibility you had left just went out the window.

You cannot stand as this man’s VP after you have been ripping him a new one every 90 minutes for the past six months. Nobody will buy that.

Seems to me like a Joseph Welch moment:

I predict Drew Stanton will be backing-up Tim Tebow before this ticket ever becomes a reality.

You ripped that right out of my brain and slapped it down here in black and white.

What a turd. (Santorum, not you) ;-)

Santorum is no radical socialist. Not even close. In fact, he voted with conservatives 88% of that time during his 14 years in congress. Source: ACU

The Newtbots love to parade out his 12% apostasy. That makes about as much sense as calling Newt a radical socialist because of his global warming kissy face commercials with Nancy Pelosi, denunciation of Paul Ryan's proposals as "right-wing social engineering" and other such examples.

Interestingly, Santorum's apostasy examples are overwhelmingly concentrated in the early part of his congressional career whereas Newt's are overwhelmingly concentrated in the part of his career after he left congress.

So the trend is the friend of Santorum, but not of Gingrich.

Yeah, it’s true and disappointing, sort of like Gingrich supporters seeing Gingrich fail to win state after state, or Rick Santorum starting off with a good social conservative message only to flip-flop in one day on his opinions of Romney.

Guess Gingrich has no principles also, right? HE said he would run with Romney as VP. How about Marco Rubio, would he have no principles if he ran with Romney??

Wake up!!! I hate Romney as much as you do! I want anybody to run for President OTHER than Romney on the GOP ticket!!

But what if he DOES get nominated?? THEN WHAT????

Do you think America could survive another 4 YEARS with that RACIST, MARXIST MUSLIM in the White House??? That Socialist who is out to destroy America, who hates the west, who is mentally locked into a battle with western colonial powers which ended generations ago?? Who wants to undermine every religion in America but Islam??? Who is taking apart our military to make us a third world power??? Who thinks the Constitution is a product of OLD DEAD WHITE CHRISTIAN SLAVE-HOLDERS???? Who is trying to separate us by race and wealth and anythng

If the GOP nominated Satan himself, he could hardly be worse than the Monster, the Octopus, the Viper, the Foreign Spider, the Psychic Vampire who sits in the Oval office today - the most dangerous man in American politics in our ENTIRE history. And regardless of WHO gets the GOP nomination, I hope to HELL that ANYBODY and EVERYBODY who cares about our country supports him.
