Why not? The story is from today’s paper and it’s in the broadcast media in Pittsburgh today.

Amazing and educational to see how easy it is for people to gain control of your financial life with a phone call and a line of BS. Even if it’s a low life deserter and the victim are one of the wealthiest of the 1%. Come to think of it, there is a considerable demographic who would think this is perfectly fine -just redistributin’ the wealth.

And I agree with R2 - the FAIL IS strong with this one.

This belongs in “News/Current Events news” or “Miscellaneous”, not “Breaking News”. A theft is newsworthy to some extent, but not to the point of hang-on-call-the-missus importance. Korea firing a missle, Kiwi-land submerging overnight, a non-eligible person becoming Pres__ent (Oops, too late), now THAT is worthy of stopping a conversation. I actually came on this in order to determine if this signified some manner of national alert, only to find out it was in the manner of a local store whitecollar theft. I know you must be eager, mate, but in the future a bit of restraint will take you far my boy. Patience, and try to remember not everyone is attuned to your local happenings, or need be, truth be told. Cheers!
