Obama’s Uncle Drunk Driving Charge Continued Without A Finding
FRAMINGHAM (CBS/AP) — A judge ordered the drunk driving charge against President Barack Obama’s uncle to be continued without a finding Tuesday.
Onyango Obama, the half-brother of the president’s late father, was arrested in Framingham in August 2011.
A police officer said Obama made a rolling stop at a stop sign and nearly caused his cruiser to crash into Obama’s sport utility vehicle.
Police said Obama registered 0.14 on a blood-alcohol test. The state’s legal limit is 0.08.
At a hearing in Framingham District Court Tuesday morning, Obama’s attorney told the judge there are sufficient facts in the case against his client
By agreeing to the continuance without a finding, Obama avoids pleading guilty to drunk driving and will not have a guilty plea on his record.
Immigration officials allege that Obama, originally from Kenya, violated a 1992 order to return to Kenya.
What does that mean? Continued I understand, meaning given another date, or postponed, but what is continued without a finding?
For now at least:

Whether that means he has a court date later and could get a misdemeanor, I don’t know, but it looks like the fix is in.

After a thorough review, we felt it was in his interests to end the matter without and further proceeding. He’s glad to have this behind him,” said Obama’s attorney P. Scott Bratton.
It means they still won’t ship Obama illegal alien relatives back to Kenya.

Obama was ordered to turn over his license for 45 days, effective today, a Framingham District Court judge ruled. He can apply for a license to only go to work in three days.
But to my limited legal way of thinking, a continuance does not prevent him from a guilty ajudication at some future date, so I don’t understand the nuance.

After the near crash, Onyango Obama, 67, told Officer Val Krishtal that Krishtal should have yielded to his Mitsubishi SUV, according to a report filed yesterday in Framingham District Court.
Krishtal said he and another driver had to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting the SUV, which rolled through a stop sign and took a quick left turn.
Obama said he doubted the officer slammed on his brakes because he did not hear the tires squeal, the report says. Krishtal said he was on Waverly Street headed toward South Street when his police car was cut off. Krishtal pulled the SUV over around 7:10 p.m.
Yes he loses the license he’s not supposed to have anyway for 45 days (and he should have left the country in ‘92). Another case in MA had a judge lose her license for a time for DUI,
oh but she got a HARDSHIP license (”your honor, she needs transportation to get to work”)
