TAMPA - The father of 28-year-old George Zimmerman spoke out Wednesday night. In an exclusive interview with FOX 35's Valerie Boey, Robert Zimmerman says he and his family have gotten thousands of death threats.
He asked that his face not be shown as he explained what happened the night his son shot and killed Trayvon Martin.
Robert Zimmerman says George Zimmerman was going to the store when he saw someone he did not recognize as living in the community.
"Because there have been a lot of break-ins in the area, he thought that was suspicious that someone would not be walking on the street or the sidewalk. That he'd be walking by the town homes," Zimmerman said.

Hearsay would be if George Zimmerman’s dad testified his son told him that Martin threatened his life. It’s second hand information.

Where did you hear that? I saw a report several days ago that the spent round was still chambered. The gun was a semi-automatic so the round should have been ejected. Failure to eject the round could be explained by hands gripping the gun so tightly that it could not operate properly, as in the case of a struggle for it. It seems possible that Martin and Zimmerman were struggling for the gun when it went off. Just saying.

all good questions and good points. supposedly the records show Martin made the last call to his girlfriend at 7:12 pm and police arrived at the scene at 7:17 pm to find Martin laying his face down on the ground. I haven’t found any photos\scans of the records. (whatever they are)
I thought it might also be “fxxxing phone” which might make sense since he was talking on a phone, and doesn’t need a time machine as the “coon” quote would require. Punks makes more sense than coons though.
Yes I think there was a struggle. I was asking what the poster thought happened, and why he thinks Zimmerman would shoot Martin because poster was questing GZ’s story about getting attacked because of the ABC surveillance video showing no obvious wounds.
