Sanford Police on Wednesday threatened to arrest members of the media who approach or ask questions of city employees during non-working hours.

Some city employees have been "followed or approached at their home or in settings outside of working hours," according to the statement, released late Wednesday.

The city further asked that reporters not approach, call or email city employees at home.

"Law enforcement officials will not hesitate to make an arrest for stalking," the press release stated.

-- I mean come on how long could it take? There isn't that much to look at. . . --

The independent investigator will have all the witnesses interviewed again, and may revisit some witnesses in light of statements by others. It's not just a matter of reviewing existing material, although that is, of course, part of the process of getting as much "truth" as is reasonably possible, before applying the law and reaching a decision.

I don't think the independent investigator is afraid - but will be careful about how to present the conclusion and findings, so as to be most credible.

That's correct. There is a slot in the form that has to filled in. it describes what is being investigated, not that the infraction being investigated took place. It's a "neutral" entry as far as conclusions go.

So, am I correct in saying that this means that the officer on scene never indicated in any paperwork that he thought Z. should be arrested?

Absent an official clarification to the contrary, one would reasonably conclude that to be the case.

A reporter stated that based on the description of the incident on the report, that the officer on scene wished to have Mr. Zimmerman arrested and charged with the “Uniform Crime Code” listed on the report. That is not accurate.   (emphasis mine)

This is going to upset the race baiters no end. Nancy, et al., were really using this to keep things stirred up. Let’s see what else Nance, who makes a living off of dead children, can dig up. [unintentional pun there]

exactly

the MSM thought we’d all get fooled but some of us on the right and not all on here either I might add.

All of us thought there was more to this than the MSM was telling and so many of us stood up and did some research and then got the word out and now the MSM is looking really stupid again.

Note to all those on here which quickly wanted to look like a lefty bleeding heart, don’t get taken in by the MSM ever again

"I don't think the independent investigator is afraid - but will be careful about how to present the conclusion and findings, so as to be most credible."

I respectfully disagree. They have had more than enough time to go over the case 10 times. Lets face it if they had enough evidence they would have already take Mr. Zimmerman in.
They don't have enough and don't know how to handle this since the LSM has tried it for them.

For those that don't live here in central Florida here is something interesting.
A while back we had a local fireman travel to Maine in a rental car. He was married with children. When he didn't show up for work the local news went up there to help locate him. The same station that tried and convicted Mr. Zimmerman namely the local ABC station channel 9 was almost arrested for trying to interfere in the investigation. It was funny watching as the officer was screaming at them to get the hell out of there. they were at the home of the suspect.
It turned out that the firefighter was taking prescription drugs up there to sell. One of his buyers owed him money, and the firefighter went to collect and was killed.
They have the suspect in custody and of course he is claiming self defense.
For some reason the police departments around here are scared of channel 9. Not Maine they do not take kindly to the TV investigating an active crime scene.

I don't think the delay is too long. The investigator likely has other irons in the fire too.

I'll be in your camp on "this is purposely delayed" two weeks from now.

I agree that the conclusion will be no bill. I bet there is some struggle over how to best present that conclusion.

I think they'll handle the media okay - I hope the investigators chastise the media, and mock their so-called "professionalism."

Interesting. I am watching WFTV right now. Check this out:

http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/trayvon-martin-case-surveillance-video-shows-georg/nLfyK/

(excerpt)

Zimmerman told police Martin punched him in the nose and bashed his head on the sidewalk, but in the surveillance video it does not appear that there is any blood on him.

However, it is possible Zimmerman was treated at the scene before police drove him into the garage. Police have said he was bleeding when they arrived.

But in the video, it does not look like there are any cuts or blood on the 28-year-old’s head and nose, yet Zimmerman said Martin punched him in the nose and bashed his head on the ground.

The injuries were not bad enough to go to the hospital that night. However, sources tell WFTV Zimmerman did go to the hospital later and provided pictures of his injuries. WFTV has requested those images from the Sanford Police Department, but has not heard back.

They are always coming on the TV saying "Only channel 9" has blah blah blah as if the other stations can't do what they do.
We don't have any good local stations here and that is why it took Tampa to give us the facts. . . . .

heard about hear firemen here in north east FL but did not hear the rest, thank you.

So he was into drugs, mmmmmm.

Our local FOX channel here had mostly blacks in the morning and boy was that a hit piece against Zimmermann.

Now the JAX sheriff is going around for photo ops to neighbor hood watches with the black police in tow , pathetic yet again.

I live in St Augustine , St Johns county and it’/s over 90% white so we don’t get the troubles with race like JAX but we do get their local news channels

Can’t be referring to the short report with the UCC on it, imo.

I'll look at it again later, but on first reading that article you linked seems to be describing the beginnings of a grade A interdepartmental CF.

Whether by design or as a natural consequence of governmental ineptitude that most always leads to a CF of one or another flavor remains to be seen.
