save for later
It’s over, Ralph.
A man of ideas vs a teleprompter in chief, a used car salesman and lead altar boy/hall monitor. And who is losing in this race, the man of ideas. In a Jersey Shore, American Idol world, listening to and thinking about big ideas are just too hard. The country gets the government it deserves.
Raised in a poor family, the oldest of 7 living children, I was happy to find any job during my HS summers. Pay was less than $1/hour, but that was better than babysitting! Besides, the experience helped me to understand that I needed to work hard enough to get some education, and went on to become an RN. Back then we believed in hard work and God. Much has changed today, especially the belief in God...and by that I mean a faith (walk) in one’s belief, not just an assent that there is a God. Today, I cannot see the America I grew up in, and it’s not just the immigrants, but the whole debased lifestyles and one’s word meaning absolutely nothing at all today. We act as if we are a law unto ourselves and the rule of law is whatever we say it is in our circumstances. Sad, sad, sad!
