It's more like this ~ with the waxing and waning of hot spells and cold spells in Eurasia various tribes have moved North or moved South ~ or from the East to the West.

The monsoons as we know them date back only 2000 years. Before that India had a constant flow of moist air that favored the growth of less productive plants. With changes in Indian Ocean currents, that constant flow stopped, turned into a periodic monsoonal flow, and allowed humans to settle the central highlands and plant grains of all sorts.

A recent surprise is that out of the tens of thousands of DNA tests done in India ALL of them show genetic markers from PERSIANS as well as those typical of the relatives of the Andaman Islanders who were "The first modern humans to reach India".

Being Dravidian is more a matter of language and culture than of race ~ everybody in India ends up being of exactly the same race. They just LOOK DIFFERENT Yo!

Specialists in the field have been linking it to migrations OUT OF INDIA UP into Western Asia where we see them appear in a number of languages ~ look up SUMERIAN to find a current listing of such connections. In Iran archaeologists have found ancient (pre-Sumer) sites showing Indian influence.
