10 reasons Christians should reject Romney

We’ve all heard the controversy about presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s faith. Is he a Christian? He claims to be, yet 75 percent of American Protestant pastors disagree with the statement: “I personally consider Mormons to be Christians.” Wherever you stand, here are the top 10 reasons Christians can never vote for Mitt Romney – and they have nothing to do with his Mormon faith.

Romney forced homosexual marriage upon Massachusetts.

When the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decided in 2003 to recognize homosexual “marriage,” ignoring the voters and the Constitution, the court admitted it did not have power to issue licenses or force participation by justices of the peace to solemnize the weddings. But as governor, Romney didn’t wait for the legislature to act, he just ordered the marriage licenses and weddings to go forward, all by himself. Earlier this month, Romney said in New Hampshire, “What I would support [nationwide] is letting people who are of the same gender form – if you will – partnership agreements.” And despite the over 2,500 pedophilia cases now on record involving homosexual Scout leaders, Romney once stated, “I feel that all people should be allowed to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.”

Romney is pro-abortion. This year he’s the only major Republican presidential candidate who has yet to sign the Susan B. Anthony List pledge to defend life and defund Planned Parenthood nationwide. Candidates Bachmann, Perry, Gingrich, Paul, Pawlenty and Santorum all signed the pledge, although it should be noted Herman Cain supports everything in the pledge except the Fetal Pain Act. (Cain is not fully pro-life, either.) And who can forget Mitt’s famous 2002 campaign debate bragging repeatedly that he’s more pro-choice than Ted Kennedy?

Nope. But I'm also not voting for Obama-lite.

Screw Romney. I don't vote for liberals regardless of party.

The choice is Romney vs. Obama. It’s a done deal, even Newt is saying it’s so.

When it was early in the primary season, I was ok with anybody but Romney. I voted Gingrich. But that ship has sailed.

Given that, someone convince me that 4 more years of Obama is better. I’d love to hear the logic that will tell me, in light of what we’ve seen from Obama, especially in the last few months, that 4 more years of his Marxist trash is better than Romney.

My thought exactly. Newt and Rick are toast.

I didn’t know how bad Romney really was until I read that article /s/.

I think a more apt article is 10 things I don’t like about Romney and 10000000000000000 things I don’t like about Obama.

Sorry, but if it comes down to it in November, this Christian will vote for the Mormon rather than the Muslim.

WOW!

Now you ARE going off the deep end. Revisiting an article from 10/17/2011?

Should we all start posting articles about Perry, Cain and Bachmann again too? Hey I know, let’s get the Palin threads going again, now there is a sure fire way to change reality!

I'm doubtful I will convince you of anything, but there is one thing I can think of that is infinitely more dangerous to the survival of this free republic than the threat of the reelection of Barack Obama:

The casting away of all principle by those who call themselves "conservative."

We can't survive that as a free people.

It will be Romney vs Obama. I will vote for Romney, as being slightly less bad than Obama.

But I cannot imagine working to get out the vote for him. There is a good chance my congressional district will have a solid conservative running in the House election. It is a new district, with no incumbent (Gabby Giffords won the last time, but she is out & the district has been redrawn). If the House nominee is anyone besides Sally McNulty, I will donate time and money to help him get elected.

But Romney? I honestly didn’t believe a liberal like Mitt would win the nomination. I will have a very hard time making my arm pull the lever for someone who supports fudge-packing rights...

Hey, show me where any of the issues have changed.

Explain to me why you trust a man who just recently at CPAC stated the following:

1. "I have always been Pro-Life"
2. "I was a severly conservative governor of MA"

I was going to say, about 6.9 Trillion things I do not like about Obama! And some of these “articles” about Romney are pretty well off the chart in the reality department, themselves.

I’ll take a non-Christian American over a non-Christian non-American any day. If the Republicans can sweep the WH, House and Senate, it’s a huge win for America.

I'm not even going to try. Four more years of Obama would be a disaster for this country, and I'm not using hyperbole. Romney was my last choice, but by God, if he's the nominee I'm behind him and ready to fight. Any so-called conservative who sits this one out is playing for the other side, plain and simple.

If anyone tries, just ask them this: Who would you rather have appointing federal judges for the next four years, Romney or Obama?

And who would you rather have negotiating foreign treaties for the next four years, Romney or Obama?

What a mess that it all has to come down to this.

That means NO to Mitt.

A marxist vs a socialist. Unless the Republicans get their act together with another alternative, this Christian will be sitting this one out. A big no to both Obama and Myth the phony.

It’s a lot easier to press the 0 key until you get bored. After all infinity is a lot bigger.

Then you’re voting for Obama, especially in Jersey. If you’ve convinced yourself there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between Obama and Romney then IMO you’ve bought a bag of goods sold by the Dems.OTOH if you watch that vid of Obama and Medvedev maybe you’ll see a reason that every patriot should vote for any GOP nominee be it Romney all the way to Palin. Preventing a second term may be the last chance this Republic has.
