I think the intent of the headline was to undermine Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense by indicating that he did not sustain life-threatening injuries. Pure propaganda and totally irresponsibile.
Inserted before the discussion of his injuries is the phrase “who was fired from a security job for being over aggressive....”
Perhaps an interesting story in itself, but a descriptive phrase of who Zimmerman is?
To hone your point, I think the News is targeting an audience that it know is stupid and prejudice to dredge up more circulation.
