Justice Sonia Sotomayor's Shocking Ignorance
American Thinker ^ | March 31, 2012 | Jason Lee, M.D.

The liberal Supreme Court justices have demonstrated profound and shocking ignorance of the American health care system. Here's one of the most jarring examples:

"What percentage of the American people who took their son or daughter to an emergency room and that child was turned away because the parent didn't have insurance," asked Sotomayor, "... do you think there's a large percentage of the American population that would stand for the death of that child -- (who) had an allergic reaction and a simple shot would have saved the child?"

I have a precise answer for Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

The percentage of American people who took their son or daughter to an emergency room and were turned away because the parent didn't have insurance is exactly zero.

No person, whether American or not, is ever turned away from an emergency room for lack of health insurance. Ever.

This simply does not happen.

Here's why:

1. It's illegal.

~snip~

It's disheartening to note that Justice Sonia Sotomayor, as profoundly ignorant as she is, will be making a monumental decision about a 2,700 page health care law. Justice Sotomayor needs to have a talk with her brother.

Do you think Kagan, Ginsberg, or O’Connor are or were substantially better?

Willard’s Supreme Court Justice picks will be conservative if he gets nominated and then elected, because the formation of the new conservative party starts on Nov 7, 2012 and he’s too much of a panderer not to want to keep a few votes for the next go around.

This is gross stupidity on a par with congressman Hank Johnson (also a lawyer) worrying that if we put more Marines on Guam, it might make the island tip over:

Kudos to the Admiral who managed to not laugh in his face.

Yeah. I have a pretty thick skin too. Still, sometimes even the best of us can’t help but generalize.

Also a number of her rulings were overturned before she became a Supreme. Obama just picked somebody stupid like he did for the head of the Treasury Dept. We must unite behind the GOP candidate.

Exactly...The leftist libs won’t be satisfied until we have “the good kind like the EU has.” We must prevent that along with leftist libs.

Nope they wouldn’t. Obama’s nominations are two intellectual lightweights, I can’t imagine either of them and a Sandra Fluke EVER voting differently on ANY issue. We are one justice away from having a majority of these types for a Supreme Court. And although there is provision for removing bad judges, I can’t imagine Republicans having the courage to impeach destructive judges even if the Republicans had 90% of the House and Senate. Republicans are a weak opposition party even when in the majority. So when the Supreme Court goes, we are screwed.

Just my humble opinion

1) The House & Senate could have blocked Obamacare. They didn’t

2) The House & Senate could have blocked Sotomayor & Bulldyke. They didn’t.

3) The House & Senate could have ridiculed Obama to a 30% approval rating. They haven’t.

I could go on typing for an hour.

“This is a direct reflection on the turkey that nominated her.”

One token promoting another one; the story is as old as the hills. He was hoping it would help with his “least qualified person in the room” image.

He’s a perfect example of there being enough stupidity to go around-now, HE has as much sense as the aforementioned gerbil...

Obama always picks the least competent people he can find.

Remember the Auto Industry Czar ?

” I don’t know anything about the auto industry”

LOL!

Right, and they probably wouldn’t have been any more effective had Republicans had a majority in both House and Senate. If conservative Republicans in the House and Senate could speak out about this Supreme Court stuff strongly and consistently in the same way Rush Limbaugh did last Wednesday we could beat these people. Instead, my own Congressman, who is supposedly a Tea Party Conservative, never touches these issues but instead crows about things like his great work in getting 275,000 dozen eggs donated to a food bank.

Other than death or resignation, is there any way to remove a Justice from the Supreme Court?
