Romney is very, very far from ideal and I think he probably is about as pro gay rights as most far left liberals. (Disclaimer - I have a gay brother so I am not reflexively anti-gay. But I am opposed to special rights for gays - I say live and let live, but don’t throw your gayness in my face and recognize that we are the majority and YOU need to try to figure out a way to fit in in a predominately straight society as best as possible. Yep, I know that statement will probably bring on the flame throwers.)

I still think there is a material difference in the type of nominees we would see from Romney vs. Obama. And I think that difference would make a big difference in this country’s future.

No serious person can believe that Romney will appoint anything BUT liberals to the Supreme Court and the lower courts. No Thomases, Scalias, Alitos, even Miguel Estradas for Mittens.
