I regularly had bruises take 18-24 hours to show up after sparring. Last good one I got took around 36, and then lasted close to 3 weeks.

if Zimmerman had hit martin, it would have been when Martin was alive. and bruising or a cut would have occurred.

If Martin got punched and then shot seconds later, he would not have had enough time to develop a bruise. If Martin punched Zimmerman in the mouth and cut a knuckle on a tooth, well, then that would show up immediately. But the absence of such a cut doesn't mean anything.

So.... do we know which 7-11 he went to?

No. But there are a bunch of possibilities closer than six miles. If you click that link and ask for directions to the bottom entry (J), Google computes 5.7 miles walking distance. I chose B for my previous example, for which Google computed a walking route of 2.2 miles over not so pedestrian friendly streets. However, looking at the route, it's highly likely there are closer places to buy Skittles and iced tea than 7-Eleven. Certainly, that Walmart Supercenter would have such junk and for less money than 7-Eleven.

It's puzzling how long it took the family to learn of Martin's fate. He must have been carrying no ID, and his phone must have been password-locked.

if Zimmerman had hit martin, it would have been when Martin was alive. and bruising or a cut would have occurred. A coroner or MEs stestimony would be far better, but IMO this evidence shows Martin was the agressor and was in control of the fight up until he was shot.

Or...

What if Zimmerman pushed Martin and Martin fought back?

or...

What if Zimmerman grabbed Martin's arm and Martin swung to get him off?

or...

What if Zimmerman threw a punch and the younger, quicker Martin blocked it?

or...

What if Zimmerman reached for his weapon and Martin stopped him from pulling it by fighting?

or...

What if Zimmerman already had gun in hand?

There are dozens of 'what ifs' that have Zimmerman as the aggressor - a continuation of following Martin. The presence or lack of any marks on either of them proves absolutely nothing about who started the dance.

wrong wrong wrong

what matters is what can be shown through evidence and witnesses. A Witness sees Martin on top, video show zimmerman's head hit damaged in back--cops corroborate, no bruises or cuts on Martins face or torso suggest he was the aggressor.

without a witness nor evidence to support, your what-ifs are conjecture at best and in a FAIR trial would not get past reasonable doubt.

I actually can relate to what you’re saying more than you might think because my own hearing is not very good. Especially if I’m in a crowd I can’t pick out what people are saying. I rely heavily on lip-reading - which I didn’t realize until I tried to understand somebody when I couldn’t see their mouth. I work with middle-schoolers in the after-school program and I feel badly that I have to ask them to repeat themselves so often.

I think there are people in my real life who would be surprised to think that I have 2 brain cells to rub together because they’d never guess it by watching me in a crowd of people. The web is a much better way for somebody like me to communicate. One-on-one I can get by OK, or if I’m speaking to a group where I’m in control. But the social situations that are supposed to be fun are pretty much just a spectator sport for me because of my difficulty hearing. I smile and nod a lot.

I was listening to a guy at church who is developmentally disabled and did the nodding and smiling routine. Afterwards a friend who listened to the whole thing turned to me and said, “Did you know you just agreed to come visit him at his house on Tuesday?”

Funny but also not-so-funny.

I believe there will be a Day when both you and I will have perfect hearing, and I think you will know better than anybody else how precious the voices and the music really are. What to others will seem like a sequin will be more like rubies and emeralds to you - in brightness, beauty, and worth.

Until then, we’ll keep pushing on. I hope you and others will realize you’re not as alone as you might think, and I hope those who have good hearing realize what a gift that really is. I hadn’t really thought about the phone situation. How many people have I heard talking about how lost they would be without their cellphone - yet that’s what you deal with every day. You’ve made the phone seem like a great gift to me now. And it truly is. Thank you! And may the Lord hug you extra-tight for me tonight.

Investigator Chris Serino of Sanford police said Friday the agency has worked closely with prosecutors, and have not arrested Zimmerman because prosecutors have consistently told them they do not have enough evidence to win a manslaughter conviction.

That’s because Zimmerman says he was defending himself, something he’s allowed to do under Florida law.

The best account of what happened came from Zimmerman, Serino said. Other witnesses who saw or heard parts of what happened corroborate his version of events, the investigator said.

What ‘teenager’ walks 6 miles each way to go to 7-11 to get Skittles and AZ-IT for his 20 year old cousin?

There is a 7-Eleven .9 miles (about a 20 minute walk) from the house where he was staying. I've not read anyplace that he was getting it for his older cousin. I read one reference from Ben Crump that he was getting them for Brandy Green's 13-year-old son, but I am skeptical of that account for a number of reasons. His father's account of that night did not indicate he had any idea why Martin had left the house, since he (the father) was not there at the time. Since Trayvon is dead, I don't know where the whole 7-Eleven story came from in the first place, since it pre-dates the girlfriend going public. It would be easy enough for the police to confirm, though.

That’s a really good find, considering the number of reports claiming that Serino believed Zimmerman to be guilty.

1) That’s because Zimmerman says he was defending himself, something he’s allowed to do under Florida law. 2)The best account of what happened came from Zimmerman, Serino said. 3)Other witnesses who saw or heard parts of what happened corroborate his version of events, the investigator said.

________________________________________

1) He 'said', there is no neutral corroboration --- and, it seems to me that Martin would have had the same right to self defense.

2) Of course --- there are no witnesses to the start of the confrontation and Martin is dead.

3) "saw or heard parts" - the key word being "parts".

When you have a link to an eyewitness who saw the start of the fight let me know --- until then the simple fact is that you nor I nor anyone else here knows what happened and any scenario I mentioned is equally probable.

When you get to a witness who saw the start of the fight let me know...until then you're just speculating.

And, I've seen plenty of fights where the guy who started it got his ass kicked.

Now, tell me this, if you can...exactly how do you know that Zimmerman, who was a stranger following Martin both in his truck and on foot, didn't show the gun or reach for it and that Martin didn't knock him down thinking he was going to get shot?

After all, Zimmerman's own brother said that they were wrestling for control of the weapon. Tell us, when did Martin first realize that the stranger who was following him was armed? Did Zimmerman show it? Did he pull it? Exactly when did Martin first see it? And how do you know?

Really...I'd like to hear how you know for certain that that didn't happen......I'll make it easy for you --- you don't...and neither do any of the other freepers who swear that Martin attacked Zimmerman just as nobody in the press knows that Zimmerman set out to kill Martin.

You are just as bad as they are.

And, here's another little bit...quest for truth is a conservative value...partisan speculation is not.

no what I said is based on the evidence. FACT--There are no bruises or cuts on TM's face or chest. Whereas zimmerman had a broken or injured nose and a cut on the back of his head. therefore, likelyhood TM landed the first blow is high, BASED ON THE EVIDENCE.

What YOU are doing is speculating. Reminds me of Johnny Cochran saying Ron Goldman and Nicole Simpson were probably killed by columbian druglords. Even though simpson had their blood all over his car and his house. Ludicrous.

Good find!

The suspected site of Trayvon's final act of consumerism

Store #34198, according to 7-11's website.

The area seems to be growing rapidly, and there is a lag in geographic database updates. When I went to find Bing oblique photography for the "gated community", the pics I found were of it half-constructed.
