SCOTUS meets Chicago style politics

President Obama's Rose Garden remarks yesterday on the Supreme Court are shameful, a blot on his presidency.

"Ultimately, I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress,"

As a purported constitutional law lecturer, President Obama is fully aware that laws passed by democratically elected majorities (that's how laws are made) are overturned by the Supreme Court on a regular basis.

His claim of a sizable majority is false when it comes to the House, where the margin was very close. But the size of the majority has no relevance, nor does the fact that the law in question was passed on a purely partisan basis with no Republican votes make any difference either.

Because the Harvard-educated lawyer knows all this, the words "unprecedented" and "extraordinary" are lies.

Democrats fail (as does Obama here) that the USA is not a democracy.

Thank Goodness it is a republic that respects rule of law, and the rights of the minority.

In the book “Left Behind,“ a snake-oil salesman named Carpathian brings the World to ruin.

Dictator Baby-Doc Barack is our Carpathian as he tries to bring America to ruin.

Saw another article that speculated Justice Kagan, Obama’s previous solicitor-general, proponent of Obamacare and fellow pro-homosexual and socialist traveller, has tipped-off Obama about the final vote tally.

This is similar to a few years ago when these dishonest liberal turds tried to tell us the principle of “Checks and Balances” meant a Democrat/Republican sharing of power in Congress.

Obama and the Court reminds me a bit of Jimmy Stewart and Mr. Potter...

On Fox this morning, a Democrat "talking head" defended his outrageous and unprecedented challenge to the authority and role of the Court by declaring that, after all, "he is a constitutional scholar."

If this is to be the line, then, proof, please?

What were the specific courses of study of the meaning and philosophy of the Constitution of the United States and its structuring of the powers of government qualified him as a "scholar"?

Who were the great philosophical and legal authorities who were his professors during those years of study?

Unless they are prepared to provide appropriate and complete curriculum vitae, perhaps Democrats may want to revise their line of defense of yesterday's bizarre comments while the President of the United States, standing between the heads of two foreign governments, chose to challenge the authority of a co-equal branch of his own government!

If that is their claim, then the American people deserve to know whose were the ideas which influenced such arrogance on the part of this temporary occupant of the Office of President.

President O-Bysmal humiliates the invited Supremes at The State of the Union address. Now he’s posturing hoping they forgot all about that.

Payback’s a b*tch, son!

More likely there will be loud demonstrations and civil disturbances outside the homes of those who voted it down. Demonstrations egged on by you know who...

Yeah, the audio is amazing as he struggles to enunciate an ill-advised, malformed, baseless, serious charge.

Jog my memory on that one. Indeed, upon seeing it happen there we knew that would happen here some day, and that day is almost upon us.
