From the radar, it looks like there is one entering SW Dallas County right now that could be making a beline for downtown Dallas.
my sister works in Irving and I emailed her 45 minutes ago and have heard nothing from her. I don’t want to tie up phone lines.
He was suppose to call me after it was ok to leave closet and that was over 40 minutes ago. he is right on the Arlington/Pantego/Dalworthington Gardens line.
They just extended a tornado warning for a dallas to rockwall area til 315pm local and likely to go beyond that..
The lines are probably swamped
Wow... That’s quite a picture.
I think if I lived in tornado country I would seriously consider investing in an underground shelter. Sometimes that “interior” room or closet just isn’t enough. Not when a house can be just erased off it’s foundation.

I have folk from where it started up to Wichita Falls....
On the radar, it looks like the tornado may have skirted just to the east of DFW. But the hail core of the thunderstorm went right over the airport. That could really wreak some havoc.
It’s going to be a long day, and night....tons of activity still from the south moving towards DFW.
plus it keeps re firing from the deeper southwest
I’m wanting to get a tornado shelter (we’re in Huntsville AL) but one of the companies is being accused of installing inferior shelters so need to really investigate them well. We had one hit, although it was an F2 or F3 about 3 miles from here right next to the kids middle school and it really tore up some 200-300K brick homes.
Does he use a cellphone or a land line?

WOW That looks horrible. The images are so dark and nasty looking that you can almost smell the rain, through the tv. Hope all in the area have gone into shelters and are ok.
A storm like that can knock out the phone service on both. Let me know when you hear from him.
