YIKES! By time we visited most of the windows were covered with plywood or replaced. I worked in the office on Cherry Street on the 38th & 36th floor during my years there. Ft. Worth was so lucky that hit after 5 . . . I think it was around 6 or 6:30 because my brother worked in Dallas and lived in Aledo and was in traffic on 30 near Beach St when it hit.

Several of my wife’s co-workers were still in the building when it hit. One said he knew it was time to go when he saw a chair fly by his seventh floor window. Another had been in one of the conference rooms. They all ran into the stairwell. When it was over, the only thing left in the conference room was the table.
