A partially-redacted police report detailing the initial investigation in the Feb. 26 shooting death of Trayvon Martin has surfaced.
Reuters reporter Matthew Keys first posted scanned copies of the report to his Twitter account. As the Chicago Tribune noted, the report contains details that conflict with several rumors surrounding the case.
The report states that George Zimmerman's gun "was placed into evidence" and not returned to him, and the scene of the shooting was secured with crime scene tape. This directly conflicts with statements made by civil rights activists, including Rev. Jesse Jackson, who had claimed the Sanford, Fla., police department "didn't even bother to put yellow tape around the murder scene when he died--that's how much the police did to find out what happened to this young boy."
After officers discovered Martin's body, the report states, they unsuccessfully attempted to revive him.
According to the report, Sanford police spent more than seven hours at the scene. They interviewed six witnesses, whose names were redacted from the report. The partial report contains information from the first two officers to arrive at the scene.
The first to arrive was officer Timothy Smith. From Smith's report:
"While I was in such close contact with Zimmerman, I could observe that his back appeared to be wet and was covered in grass, as if he had been laying on his back on the ground. Zimmerman was also bleeding from the nose and back of his head."

so yahoo! news doesn’t know what’s going on until they read it on Twitter? Didn’t this police report “surface” last week when the Sanford police released it?
“The scene was then secured with crime scene tape by Ofc. Mead and Ofc. Wagner. Ofc. Robertson began a crime scene contamination log. Lt. Taylor arrived on scene and notified dispatch to have Major Crimes responds to the scene.”
It’s been out for awhile.

One of the reports was signed off at 3am-ish, I believe. Trayvon’s father was supposed to have come home at 11pm and he didn’t notice all this...
I saw some other news organ pull out the police report yesterday, and make the impression that the report had just now surfaced. All to legitimize the false "there is no evidence of injury" impression they created with Crump's help, the grainy video, etc.
Yes, it has—and they’re acting like this is “new.” It’s been available all along from the Sanford city site, in pdf format.
This entire case has turned into a modern day Ox-Bow incident.
I’m sure with the cast of losers associated with this that the outcome will be exactly the same as the movie. Except in the movie the lynch mob were held accountable for their murderous ways. In real life that won’t be the case.

Not "all along." The police released some 911 recording under pressure from Crump. That was on March 17. I am guessing that the initial report was made public in the same time frame.

Dick Gregory was on Imus Mar. 27th and he asked how could Trayvon be killed 70 yards from his house and then be in the morgue for 3 days, listed as a missing person.
Imus only corrected the distance to 700 yards but didn’t mention that the father identified a photo of his dead son the next day when police came to his home.
Dick Gregory also speculated that all the driveby shootings were really planned to steal the organs of young black people.
And now the NBPP knows he does not have his weapon. Nice.

I thought 2 sound experts (hired by the MSM) had confirmed that Zimmerman was on his back getting his ass kicked while Martin was yealling for help?
The media silence on the NBPP has been deafening.
70 yards is much closer to the truth, than 700. He was less than 100 yards from home - and he was walking AWAY from home in order to confront Zimmerman.
On the other point, I think Tracy was taken to his son's body on the 27th.

My only issue in this entire situation has been with the media. How the media has handled this is the only thing I have, or will, comment upon.
He said he called police in the morning when Tray didn't show up...So who calls 9-11 and reports a 17 year old male missing after a few hours???

I hadn’t seen any definitive report of the girlfriend’s home location in comparison to the site of death. Was it even in the same compound?
And, out comes PEOPLES magazine with a picture of precious 12-year-old Tray on the cover, not that they want to guide public opinion or anything; i.e., pander to magazine purchasers of a particular pursuasion. Why doesn’t someone come out with a recent mug shot of ‘precious Trayvon’ instead of letting the media play this baby crap?
Dick Gregory was claiming that the police had the body for 3-days as a John Doe in the morgue and didn’t bother to tell the father, who had reported him missing. Gregory seemed to think they were stealing his organs for 3-days.
In fact, the police visited the father the next day, the same day he reported his son missing, and had him identify a photo of his dead son.
Have the police had a formal press conference yet? If not, why not? They’re getting maligned, too...
Yes. The scene is between two rows of dwellings, with a sidewalk running along the length between the two rows of dwellings, with the sidewalk -not- on the street-side. The fight and shooting took place about 1/4 of the way from one end, and Trayvon was staying in a unit at the other end.
They were having them regularly until a few weeks ago. The mob wanted blood, and was impatient. So, higher ups did the smart thing and transferred the case to an independent investigator. IIRC, the assignment, as it stands now, was given out by order of the governor of the state. As it should be, no formal announcements, no comments, no NOTHING from the current investigator. The mob will hear from her when she's reached her conclusion.
Yeah. This is the report they’ve had for two weeks and ignored because it didn’t fit their narrative.
I could be wrong, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that the father called a couple different places to check on the whereabouts of his son. One was juvenile something or other. Does anyone remember reading something like this ?
That is the main question I have always had. How could his father not notice all the police activity?

My point is the absolute media silence in regard to the NBPP bounty issue. I don’t give a rat’s rear end if the NBPP got intel from this report or not. I want to know what is being done about what they have done here.
The police work for a City Council that has already bought into the false narrative. Defending themselves would be risky.

The only reason I can think that would justify not calling the police the night of the incident is if PopMartin was high or drunk and didn’t want to be around LEO.

Like you, I've not seen a single mention of either of those items (real or illicit) other than when they were inserted into the narrative by the M family lawyer.
