I'm getting a bad feeling about all of this.

Posted on 04/03/2012 1:44:05 PM PDT by servo1969

If there's one thing that Obama is a master at it's lying.

With that in mind I'm starting to feel really apprehensive about the SCOTUS vote on Obamacare.

I hate to say it but what if he's won?
What if he's managed to flip one of the judges (or didn't even have to)?
What if he's been informed by Kagan or Sotomayor that it's in the bag?
What if all these little statements to the press are just him loading the bases for a grand slam in June? So he can look Large and In Charge to all his minions?

I hate to be defeatist but I'm getting a sinking feeling in my stomach.

Jeez. If I have any grandkids they're gonna have to celebrate this c*cks*ckers birthday in school.

Your guess has equal value with mine. The good Lord infected me with optimism. So I’m going with His call.

I believe that God is working His will in ways we can’t even guess. We’re going to come out this obuma fiasco, but He does expect us to do hard work, while He does the heavy lifting.

This bill gets passed. We reached the tipping point a while ago. No turning back. Too many ass wipes in the country. Prepare.

You may have misinterpreted. I intend to out in an blaze of glory, whether or not I will still be an agnostic is impossible to say.

Most here think its extremely unlikely nobama will be able to intimidate the SCOTUS into going his way and instead its likely his strongarming may turn a “maybe” into a “throw it all out”.

Got it, I hope you’re right.

Nah, the thing is so far gone, that a first year law student would toss it. It won’t stop Obama from trying to break the law though. He does it almost every day.

I think they will rule the individual mandate not Constitutional. Obama already knows that.

What they won’t do is say the whole bill must be thrown out. The Court will contend that the text of the bill isn’t their business, only whether it is Constitutional. They will have to find another way to pay for it other than an individual mandate.

This is where the election comes into play. The SCOTUS will leave it up to the voters. Obama will use this as a tool to say that the GOP doesn’t care about Americans and Healthcare. If you notice, Obama has already began that talk this week.

Elect Obama and Dems, you will get a single payer system just like SS.

Elect a Republican President and Republican House and Senate, you have a chance to overturn it.

What is in the bill is irrelevant. It isn’t about that, and that is why Reid took out the clause that said it is not severable from the mandate.

Since the severabilty clause was removed, why is the SCOTUS wasting any time on severability?

"he has retracted, but you are seeing increasing signs that he is melting down and becoming mentally unhinged"

Barry has been unhinged at least since he was in college. The fact that he hid his insanity from himself and the world by turning narcissist is what has kept him out of an asylum. Narcissists excel at two things, using people and hiding from reality. As long as Barry had Obamacare on track he could keep the bubble he lives in intact. With Obamacare even in the Supreme Court, he's going to have ever increasing problems with keeping the bubble he lives in in place, problems to the point of probably acting obviously insane even in public if Obamacare is totally eliminated.

Any country that elects a guy who admitted to what Barry admitted to in his own Bio and has constantly fought in court to hide the same records everyone else is expected to be able to provide when applying for a job deserves what they get. This country elected a maniac who lives in his own unreal word because that's how most of the voters live, in their own, unreal, little world. For all the "social media" jabber, people have given up social interaction for personal illusion at an increasing rate ever since teenagers started meeting friends on the net instead of meeting them at the mall or other well populated public places.

The country has an insane narcissist at the helm because the majority has gotten used to a fabricated, narrcististic, individualized, little world they each make for themselves rather than facing the challenges of the real world.

JMHO

“I HATE to say it but what if he’s won? . . . . I HATE to be defeatist but I’m getting a sinking feeling in my stomach.” If you really HATE these things, why are you posting this vanity? Do you think this is helping in any way? Optimism is probably the most essential of all American attributes. It is the essence of America. Real conservative Americans should be optimists. Pessimism, cynicism and negativity are European and the essence of Liberalism. We can be realistic without being pessimistic. Leave the pessimism for the likes of Obama.

Because I wanted to hear if other people feel the same way. If so, maybe the discussion will make us/me feel better. It is called a vanity.

people will figure they can take the Senate and keep control of the House so, screw Romney. They'll figure a Republican House and Senate can reign King Barry in and roll things back

I truly do not believe there are that many people who really give it that much thought or even have that thorough of an understanding of how our government functions.

"Ginzberg, Sotomayor, Breyer and Kagan would never vote against it. "

I predict an eight to one vote to kill the whole thing, with Ginsberg being the only holdout.

Every Bar Association, Judiciary Committee, and any other group in the justice system should be calling for Kagan to recuse herself.

Why? Kagan has strong precedent for not recusing herself, from none other than Justice Rehnquist, no less. See Laird v. Tatum, 408 U.S. 1 (1972)

Thank you for the reference. It is as you say.

I wonder, was there any call for Rehnquist to recuse himself, at the time?

Are the Justices exempt from having to recuse themselves?

"Same feeling I had when the bill was passed in the first place; that we will never be rid of this mess they have created. If you understand that their motive has nothing to do with health care, but rather control of 1/6 of the us economic activity and diverting premiums paid to insurance co’s into fedzilla’s revenue stream in perpertuity, then it becomes quite clear they will stop at nothing, including making scotus irrelevent, to reach their ends. Docs will start fleeing and the quality of care in the US will be no better than in Russia. I knew we were doomed since Nov 4, 2008, the night me and my wife shed tears for America. Not much has changed for my family, yet. But I am well aware that “change”, the transformation of America, is well under way, and will exact it’s toll on us and my kid’s once bright future in fairly short order. I will go vote for ABO, but 2008 surely proves there is not enough of us who care enough. The socialist transformation has taken root."

Me too, Nov, 3rd, the day before the day before the election, I also shed tears for my country.  I knew what was gonna happen.  I knew my America was at an end.

Socialism was once taboo in this nation.  Obama broke the ice for socialism.  Socialism is now in America to stay.  This is Obama's greatest achievement.  Whether commiecare stands or not, the socialists all over this nation have come out of the closet like ravening wolves, and they are here to stay.  Even after Obama is long gone.

The day before the election, Nov. 3rd 2008, I decided to watch my old "Last of the Mohicans" dvd, at the end of the movie, at the last scene, he says..

One day there will no more frontier, and men like you.. will go too.  Like the Mohicans.

A new people will come, work, struggle. Some will make their lives, but once we were here.

Likewise, once we were here too.  Free men.
