Yup. People don't care about "health care" or what it costs. They want "health" - and expect the government to indemnify them against any possible misfortune.
“It is a very short list in Washington of those who are doing the right thing.”
***
What list? Who else is left?
Even if Romney proves not to be the Annointed One, who else will have the balls? Certainly not the other three wannabes. And I figure sooner or later Sarah Palin and the others will get behind Romney...for the good if the party, good of the country, or some other bovine excrement.
If we survive the Obama dictatorship, we need to form our own party. The Republican establishment no longer represents conservatives...if it ever did.

Deeply held conservative convictions?....not in a heartbeat
Now....which one do I hold dear?....
Brilliance is cheap....
..deep conservative conviction is revered.
Ryan wouldn't have so quickly compromised to a back stabbing, ruthless, evil man like Romney.....if he had conviction or backbone.
I think it's between Allen West and Paul Ryan. I'd be thrilled with either--they're both brilliant (like you, Brilliant). ;-)
I loved it that Sarah said last night that her pick would be West. There's a great pic out there of when she and West first met at the Fallen Soldiers bike ride. West's a REAL black man, not a pencil-necked poofter, and I think Obama is TERRIFIED of that. West also brings a much future-needed Military-savvy mind and Florida.
I love Paul Ryan too...in fact he reminds me so much of my son, although my son is much younger. Ryan's quiet brightness, strong but thoughtful presence, diligence and speech patterning are just like my son's. (Can you tell that I'm a proud mom?)
I think Rubio would be third behind West and Ryan. All three are great in my book--Rubio the least--even though he would bring more Latinos and of course Florida.
BTW that’s my dream ticket. ;-)
Republican Candidates could improve their Primary vote count by campaigning with the following idea:
Due to the FHA, Fannie and Freddie Bankruptcies of September, 2008, American home owners lost 30 % of the value of their homes. That is a 30 % cut in just one month. Home values are still down 30 %.
Thus, let us cut the total compensation to all elected Federal politicians, and their staffs by 30 %, and an additional 10 % cut to elected Federal politicians each year until Federal Spending is LESS THAN the average of the previous 2 years of Federal income.
BTW, since slightly less than half of the US House, and 2/3 of the US Senate are Millionaires, it will be a great opportunity for Congress to lead by example that EVERYONE should give up their fair share of the American Dream.
What better way can there be to demonstrate that Federal politicians are on the same page as the voters?
I was referring to the few members of Congress who are still worthy of the oath they took - not any presidential candidates. This is Bush 1 redux - Romney gets it because it’s his turn. The Republican party stinks and has for a long time. If Soetoro wins again, very clearly we need a 3rd party to help pick up the pieces of our Republic. You cannot win from within these corrupt institutions.
