Following outrage from parents; a changed version of "God Bless the USA" has been pulled from an upcoming school assembly concert.
According to parents, children at Stall Brook Elementary school were told to sing "We love the USA" instead of "God Bless the USA" during the chorus of the popular Lee Greenwood song.

Greenwood should sue for bastardizing his song.

Everyone should continue to refer to the actual holiday as it is. I do not call any holiday anything other than what it is and I don’t give a damn who says what. This is MY LIFE, MY BELIEF SYSTEM, MY FAMILY, aNd we do what We know is right. Newsey bodies can stay out of our lives and press on with the attention getting nonsense they try to inflict on everyone else.

Today, children, we are going to learn about the complexities of Copyright Law ...
We had a middle school program for my daughter on 9/12/2001, postponed a day from 9/11/2001. After the regular program, the school administrators offered several prayers, and the band played several patriotic songs, with which everyone in the gymnasium sang along. “God Bless the USA” was one of them. Many of us were sobbing at the end of it. I had no idea at that time, how lucky we were to have a public school system that still allowed/still allows for true patriotism and references to God.
This will forever be one of my memories for 9/11.
It’s a copyrighted song. Changing the lyrics without Lee Greenwood’s permission is a violation of copyright law. I hope he stops them. As an entertainment lawyer, I would be happy to help him stop them!

Remember, these same people elected Mitt Romney as their governor.
Replace God with “we”, that is typical of the secular humanism taught in school.
