MIAMI (CBSMiami) The parents of Trayvon Martin are expected to attend a candlelight memorial service Wednesday night commemorating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior who was shot and killed at a Memphis, Tennessee hotel 44 years ago today.
The Reclaim the Dream service, which includes a unity march, candlelight prayer and gospel concert, has been dedicated to Trayvon Martin who was shot and killed by a self-proclaimed neighborhood watch captain in Sanford, Florida who claimed he shot in self-defense when Martin attacked him. No charges have been filed.
The Trayvon Martin March for Justice will be led by his parents, Tracy Martin and Sabrina Fulton.

Too bad Dr. King's niece, Dr. Alameda King, denounced their race-baiting.
Since when does a hispanic man shooting a taller black teenager who was beating him have anything to do with racism? Doesn’t the black community embrace violence through rap music?
Yes, she did.
Meanwhile, race whores like Sharpton, et. al. have done and will continue to do everything in their power to prevent anything resembling MLK's dream from approaching reality.
I don’t recall MLK having assaulted a Hispanic and getting himself shot for it.
I was 18 when the Doctor, was murdered. I remember him and the “I had dream” speech, very well! Dr. King was a real man among men. For does the thug wannbe compare?
Why honor young Mr. Martin instead of the 14 shot in Miami or those murdered in Chicago?
Before long Trayvon will have been walking across water to get to his daddy’s house when GZ shot him unprovoked with an assault rifle bought at a gun show.
They just keep digging with that inner city pride that gives us Detroit and the other major legacies of urban welfare.
Release the grillz pics.
Some convervatives wonder how Che became such an icon for the left despite the facts.
Well, we’re seeing a similar icon being born right now.
To be blunt, facts do not matter to leftscum...
King was no apparently no angel, but he was no race-baiter; no “black leader” since his death has had as much “white” support, because his demands were reasonable - he didn’t want them to become dependent pets of Dem politicians, but rather grown-up Americans. He was supporting workers on strike, while today’s “black leaders” support people who haven’t had a W-2 issued to their family in generations.
I’m sure back in his day (I was born after he was killed) it was much easier for blacks to hold their heads up; what so many of them have been reduced to at this point is a damned shame.

Maybe they could take a second and thank the 330,000 white Union military who died between 1861 and 1865 while winning the Negro slaves their freedom. Many of the current batch of historians try to make it that they died for the Union, but in fact the Abolitionist Radical Republicans of the day made sure they died in pursuit of the freeing the slaves.
Perhaps O. J. Simpson can get a day pass, so that he too can join in this Skittles cluster.
I was in the Navy between 1951 and 1955, home port Norfolk, and there was Jim Crow Laws in the South. The Military was integrated and while we could not hang out together on the beach in the south we could on ship, and in foreign countries. Met some of the best men I have ever known then, they just happened to be Negro.
There are so many race baiters nowadays. It is only respect for my old friends and men like Lt. Col. Allen West that stop me from universalizing a poor opinion of almost every Negro who opens his or her mouth.
Just how low can the Martins and their racebaiting new-found friends go. Using MLK for their own distorted racist ends. Sheesh!
Just how low can the Martins and therir racebaiting new-found friends go. Insulting what MLK stood for.
You should look at photos of Blacks in DC just after the Civil War and compare them to today. You’re right the photos say a lot about the fall of Black culture and the race baiters who seduce them!
