R&B superstar Chaka Khan has re-recorded her 2007 song "Super Life" as a tribute to slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin.
Khan announced the project while appearing on "Piers Morgan Tonight," claiming, "We are sick and tired in America of seeing little children lost and children gone missing and they never make the 9 o'clock or the 5 o'clock news."
Joining Khan on the track are singers and performers Eric Benet, Terry Crews, Angela Bassett, Kenny Lattimore, Kelly Price, and Boris Kodjoe. In the accompanying video, all the participants are wearing hooded sweatshirts...

All I know her from is a #3 hit she had with Rufus in the ealy 70s (Tell Me Something Good) with a Top 20 follow up. Why more people know her than, say, Three Dog Night, is a mystery to me. To me she belongs in the same section of brain with Minnie Riperton, The Three Degrees and Phoebe Snow ... not forgotten, but not exactly household names, either.

Waste of time. Ms. Khan is spending time on a two bit teen gangsta thug!!! Sad that this young man was killed, but the real heartbreak, waste and loss of life is the self-inflicted thousands of useless murders of Black on Black teenagers and young people!!! Why? Simple breadown of the Black family and failure of massive numbers of American Blacks to take advantage and effectively assimilate themselves into general American culture and society!!!
Most Black folks would rather spend their lives bad mouthing Whitey, being racists, living off handouts, being the wards of a controlled government existance, rather then holding the family unit together, getting great education for their kids, taking advantage of the American opportunity society and becoming full blown, loyal and dedicated American citizens. Being baby killers and unwed mamas is no way to go through successfully.
The likes of Trayvon Martin ain’t where its at, sorry to say!!! Wasted time and effort and neglect of the real problems of the American Black community!!! Starting with POTUS Obama on down, American Blacks, have been used, abused, kept in economic and social bondage and slavery, by who, their very own, greedy, power hungry leaders.
