...If it's Mittens what are YOU going to do...are you going to swallow DEEP, PLUG yout NOSE and vote for "him" OR WAHT?
“I refuse to vote for that anti-gun, queer agenda promoting, big government, abortionist, a$$hole!”
Me neither. That’s why I’m voting against him (Obama) and for Romney.
But you are ok with giving Obama a 2nd term. WTF?!?
No vote for Romney from me. His push for Romneycare is an unforgiveable in my book.
What will he do next time there’s a choice between a free market and govt solution? Pick govt.
With Romney we will get cap and trade. Obama tried to get it but repub congress fought it off.
Romney will get it w/repub congress cooperation.
See chain below about Romney indicating need to cut emissions.

I can't vote for an abortionist, either. Millions of other conservatives will also sit out the election if Romney is nominated. Get ready for four more years of Obama......
Speaking of not wanting to deal with reality.
LOL! You nailed it!.......
We can do without your crude remarks.
You mean “Gut Shot” time.
I held my nose and voted McCain. At least there was a difference between him and Obama.
There is no difference in Obama or Romney, ideologically. There is NO REAL Choice.
Either way, we are screwed highly. Therefore, let the screwing happen with a D in office.
I’ll vote down ticket and if possible write in Palin.
Vote for the guy who enforced gay marriage and socialist mandated health care? No.
I respect and am considering the argument that now may not be the time to take on the GOP establishment.
But we are going to have to confront them sometime.
Can’t keep putting it off forever.
What to do...what to do?
In my years here at FR I’ve read that;
1) Citizens without children should not be allowed to vote.
2) Citizens collecting government assistance should not be allowed to vote.
3) Citizens without a college education should not be allowed to vote.
4) Citizens who do not pay income taxes should not be allowed to vote.
5) Citizens who do not own property should not be allowed to vote.
6) Citizens who do not belong to a political party should not be allowed to vote.
Since I fall into four of those catagories (1,2,3 and 6)....what to do?
“....we have a Republican-majority congress with the will and fortitude to keep Romney’s liberal tendencies in check.”
Unfortunately, most of the Republicans in Congress aspire to be like Romney.
Joined today to stir the pot abit I see.
No, I will not-he may be more dangerous than Obama! I am serious..
no. the republican administration is guaranteeing obama’s reelection by running a candidate that is indistinguishable from him in the first place. the idea that i will vote for whomever the party bigwigs wants me to vote for is ludicrous. i will vote conservative, ro not at all. i am not a sheep of the GOP.
Oh, and we can forget about a majority in the Senate- we will be very lucky to hold onto a majorioty in the House. Hello, Speaker Pelosi.
Yea like that is going to happen.
I think that your delusion of the RNC keeping anyone in check is laughable.
They will do what they always do, "bend over" and do nothing, but keep their cushy life style, and power, and piss on everything (especially us), just like they always do.
I wont vote for Romney, but you have to be careful about ‘write-in’ votes.
In some states if you write-in someone that didn't register to be a write-in, it is a spoiled ballot and nothing on it gets counted.
It is better to leave that slot blank.
Right if you don't vote your gut for the person closest to your views, your views will never be known and you will have wasted your vote.
Don't waste your vote, be counted.
Heh...I guess you're excluding your own posts from your self-appointed ignorance test.
Well don’t be a baby. Put on your big boy pants and stop with the cowardly hyperbole.
not in the mood to shout it from the rafters but by election day expect to be solidly ABO
Excellent point. Don’t forgot the 537 or so votes in FL that year. For all the talk on FR about Ojugears getting blown out by whoever our candidate is, I look at the numbers on the map and can’t hlep but think that IF we win this year will be be more along the lines of a 2000 or 2004 model, not 1980 or 1988. I’d be very happy to be proven wrong, and will be the first to buy a beer for the FReepers in my town if we do pull off a big win, but that looks unlikely at this point.
When Mittens picks Wisconsin’s Paul Ryan as his VP Running Mate, life will be sweeter. Granted, I’m not happy about my choices this time around (AGAIN!) but I’m willing to do my part to stop 0bama and his grifter wife and slow our march toward Socialism. I’m convinced it’s too late to stop the slide; I just want to slow it down.
That said, I’ll be fine whoever is in office. God is still on His throne, last time I checked. :)
IMHO, it’s like voting for McCrud all over again. Just the lesser (maybe) 0f two evils.
I am not voting for a pro-MarriageIsSodomy, pro-Abortion, non-Christian, pro-SocializedMedicine, Alinsky linked candidate.
It doesn't matter if he has the GOP label or not.
Thanks for that. I appreciate it. Due diligence is obviously required and I thank you for calling it to my attention.
This thread is a fine example of how wobbly some of this board's biggest chest-beaters have become. Take note that many of these "Conservatives-of-convenience" were hard core PDS'ers this time last year, and now they're trying to justify their future votes for Romney.
It's both sad and pathetic!
What does it matter really? We have feckless “leadership” in the House who won’t stand up to this administration. We are stuck with a GOP that is determined to destroy the Tea Party and all it stands for (a return to fundamental conservative principles).
We have insiders on both sides of the aisle who sell us out for their own enrichment and rise to power, the only difference between them is the letter (R or D) after their name.
A Romney presidency will more than likely destroy any vestiges of conservatism in government. Republicans will probably never gain power in government again because he will compromise all of conservatism’s principles, thus neutering any future positions or arguments against liberalism.
He will destroy any conservatives, like he did with Palin, in Washington with the help of minions like Boehner and others.
Again, really, what’s the point? He’s shown that he’s really no different than 0bama. A scheming, split tongued, lying, pro-abort, pro-big government, piece of human excrement.
How would you rate the way the country was run from 2006 to now?
“Might as well take our lumps now and not play the GOPs stupid lesser of two evils game.”
That’s what conservatives did in 2006. Stayed home. Stopped playing the game.
We got Pelosi, Reid and in 2008 we got Obama.
How good was that? How did it work out? Good or bad?
If you want Obama, Pelosi and Reid running the country again, you have exactly the right path to do it.
“Nothing will change in the downward direction of the country unless and until we ever get a conservative candidate.”
There are THOUSANDS of conservative candidates running, for Senate and Congress and statehouse etc. HELP THEM.
“Like the battered spouse who keeps returning....”
Exactly! “Maybe he won’t beat me this time.”
To the Republican party officials it is about winning and they know they can get more votes the more liberal they go.
As a lifelong conservative, I will vote for 0bama over Mitt. Looking back, I see that the 0bama presidency has been much better than McCain would have been. McCain would have had the same disastrous spending, the same healthcare legislation, the same military policies as 0bama - but we would never have retaken the House. Mitt would be 0bama-Lite - and his Big Government legislation would get bipartisan support. If 0bama wins his second term, a GOP Senate is assured, and he will never see another legislative success.
Why would I care what NH does?
Yes,Florida is also worthy of mention to make the point.I chose NH,however,to show how a mere handful of votes in one of the smallest states in the nation can mean victory vs defeat.
Never again.
I've lived in Minnesota most of my life. For the most part, my candidates of choice NEVER win election in my district.
I guess since it's not working for me either, I'll just stay home - or bow out - too this time around.
Sheesh - you don't always get what you want - grow up!
“mandate is to repeal Obamacare”
ObamaCare came directly from RomneyCare, which was directly from HillaryCare, that he put into place as Governor. So, exactly, what mandate does he have to get rid of it?
“I could not and I cant stand Mitt, but I will vote for him if he is the candidate.”
“That’s EXACTLY what the scumbag GOP establishment elitists are counting on.”
I dont care what the GOP establishment ‘elites’ want or dont want. Neither should you. I do care about whether our country will be free for another generation.
Re-electing a leftist will destroy American freedom.
Thus, Anyone But Obama.
“Sheesh - you don’t always get what you want - grow up!”
Same to the Republican party: You can’t always get what you want, my vote, when you run liberals like Romney.
Good God,pal...put down the crack pipe. For your own good!
Blame me if he wins by one vote. I don’t care what anyone says, I’m not voting for the worthless bastard!
Please, convince me of this...this thread is depressing me...
The above is no different than your statement...
LOL, those freepers havent been reading their constitution.
Constitution trumps their opinions. Over 18? You get to vote.
Go vote. it’s our right and our duty.
I hope nobody stays home, or wastes their votes (writing in someone else)
I hope everyone loves America more than they hate Romney.
YES and with conviction as I am an ABO!
I can’t vote for Mitt. I will vote in every other election on the ballot and withhold my Presidential vote.
Let me just throw a few names at you....
Bill Ayers
George Soros
Cass Sunstein
Van Jones
Debbie Wasserman Schultz
And the rest of the radicals Obama surrounds himself with and admires.
You think Obama is bad now, you wait till he gets in office a second term. We MUST close the door to them in November.
None of the candidates remaining were on my wish list when we had a full stage full of candidates last fall, but by God I will vote for the last man standing over Obama no metter who it is.
ABO. The commie has done enough damage. I don’t want the total destruction of the country on my conscience.
