The odious Martin Bashir is at it again. On his MSNBC show today, Bashir suggested that conservatives, racists that they are, were happy to have slaves help build the White House, but can't accept a black president living there.

Yes, but to some people (black people) being black is how you act. As in, for instance, voting Democrat. To other (white liberals, apparently), just as for racists throughout liberty, one drop of black blood makes you black. For a lot of normal people who’s black depends upon who says they’re black and who’s treated that way, along with the age-old completely unscientific look test.

Obama was a very privileged child who happened to have an African father. I cannot see how they draw these conclusions.
BTW, black weren’t the only ones on the planet that have been slaves.

It was built in slave territory (obviously), in exchange for Southerners accepting Hamilton’s debt assumption plan (what a crappy deal). Slave territory, by the way, eventually became the cradle of the Democrat party.

With all due respect (because you seem very sincere) that is incredibly naive. With the civil rights industry it never is about content of character or any other St. Marty soundbite. It's all about money and power. face it, hating whitey is big business these days. You can live like a king (a la Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton) or at least get you a paid gig on MSNBC. There is an entire academic industry built around "African American Studies" or "Diversity Implementation" that in a sane world would be scoffed at.
