Neo-Nazis are currently conducting heavily armed patrols in and around Sanford, Florida and are "prepared" for violence in the case of a race riot. The patrols are to protect "white citizens in the area who are concerned for their safety" in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting last month, says Commander Jeff Schoep of the National Socialist Movement. "We are not advocating any type of violence or attacks on anybody, but we are prepared for it," he says. "We are not the type of white people who are going to be walked all over."

The fact that Obama even got elected AND could possibly win a second term, shows that race relations have gotten better.
The days of the KKK and the Black Panthers drawing large number of youths are gone. Sure, both groups are still there, but these types of militant organizations, being part of mainstream America, are a thing of the past.
And more and more minorities, not just blacks, are filling in positions of power in this country. And it is a good thing. One of the justices on the supreme court is Latin American. And a woman at that.

For one thing, when I was a young teenager for a year in high school (next year went to another school) I hung out mostly with black kids. Actually a couple of years later as well. The racial tension then was nothing compared to now. Of course I lived in a small town, but still. It’s infinitely worse now. That troll should be kicked off FR.

The updates on this article say there is NO evidence of any Nazis being in Sanford or patrolling or anything and that the reporter never verified claims from a Nazi group. Just ran with the fake story.
