Derbyshire doesn't do the really obvious racist stuff -- the stuff that goes up at FreeRepublic.com, for example -- like post photos Obama in stereotypical tribal garb with a bone through his nose.

Most tribal garb would be mixed. The indians that Washington encountered at the Forks of the Ohio after he was sent to warn the French they were invading an English claim, were dressed very much like the backwoodsmen who were with him. The indians were already deep into trade, and not being stupid, they learned early on to prefer wollens to buckskin. The English likewise used indian gear that was as useful.
Nothing out of the ordinary after I saw the shot......not any worse than his one where he himself dressed in muslim garb...... And lets not forget Michelle always trying to wear her african garb...she really is in dire need of someone to guide her in proper dress for a first lady.

I'd say that 10b is life-saving advice based upon the past 50 or so years. I recall events in Cincinnati -- where I was in the 1960s -- of whites taking their usual routes home some of which went through the Avondale section.
Whites were dragged from their cars, beaten, and a few murdered. Some who were not killed were left with permanent scars.
So I hope this employee of the magazine is true to his convictions and fears not to drive through his city's black neighborhoods at all times this summer as Obama and his sons crank things up -- cause Obama been laudin' that martial law and suspended elections and that's what he's plannin' to do. I bet.
The one and only thing I ever saw even remotely racist here on FreeRepublic was back in July 2009 when the Obama girls were in France. As it turned out, it was liberal outside agitators who were posting the over-the-top comments and pictures. That thread was then pulled by the moderators. I've been reading FR regularly since shortly after 9/11 and started posting in February 2010. In that eleven years of observation, there's not been a taint of racism here aside from that one disruption from outsiders.
By definition, Conservatives can't be racist since individual liberty is at the core of our philosophy. And even as I post this, I see this reminder from the boss:
Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.
That's the reality of FR: the premiere pro-God, pro-life, pro-gun and pro-liberty site on the entire web.

I have a problem with 10c but the rest 10 seems like good common sense.

Derbyshire’s statements quoted in the article are unremarkable in the sense that they are demonstrably true. (Even the “Rev.” Jesse Hi-Jackson would agree with many of them, just not on the record.)
The only thing remarkable about Derbyshire’s statements is that they were published. And we all know that while you can publicly promote infanticide, homosexuality, euthanasia, and expropriation of the wealth someone has worked for all their lives, and can loudly demean whites and Christians, the one great sin you can’t commit is to speak truthfully about racial differences, inherent differences or behavioral differences.
Commit that great sin and pantywaists like Rich Lowry will throw you overboard faster than you can say “white privilege studies.”
