Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?” But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.” (Mark 16:1-7)

“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

And he has given us this command: Whoever LOVES God must also LOVE his brother. 1 John 4:21

Easter is the second biggest day of the year for most atheists. This is a day they can really be noticed as they attempt to force everybody to live their godless lives. They want everybody to enjoy the empty useless lives they have become accustomed to rather than the joyful lives they see many Christians living, especially around Easter and Christmas. They know they have the full power and force of the gummit since theirs is the official religion of the Gestapo. As atheists they believe they have evolved over Christians as they think they are the highest evolution of the earth which makes them the only godlike creature on the earth.

As Christians we look at Easter as the greatest holiday on the calendar. We believe the Lord Jesus came down to earth in the form of man to suffer the pains and temptations of mankind. He became the perfect lamb to be sacrificed for our sins which are what keeps us apart from God. We don’t believe we are deserving of his sacrifice or that we could ever earn the right to live in God’s presence but Christ’s sacrifice washes those sins from us and God’s Grace allows us to be forgiven for our humanity. This is why we have hope for the future because we realize we have been given Salvation by the greatest sacrifice and gift ever given, God’s only son.

This hope helps us to survive through times of trials since we know that no matter what happens we will never lose God’s gift. The world can take everything away from us including our lives but they can never take away our faith in the Lord. We know that when times are difficult God will help us through those times and the hope of eternity with him can give us comfort and peace. We understand there will be all sorts of difficulty since God’s hope is eternal. This keeps you moving forward as your faith keeps you looking into the future optimistically since you understand God has a plan for your life.

To go through life as an atheist leads to an empty existence since you have nothing to carry you through the tough times. If you have no concept of an eternity with God or heaven you have nothing to look forward to or faith to carry you forward. To live your life believing in something as sterile as evolution that we are nothing more than an extremely random chance while ignoring the obvious impossibility of those odds is a nothingness existence. So you live your life with no more meaning than a dog and really perhaps less meaning, at least dogs make people happy. So you live your life with no real meaning since you know after seventy years you’re going to die and then rot nothing else, emptiness.

The atheists need meaning so they try to become good people by being liked and doing good deeds. The problem is that they or a group of them decide what a good deed is or who are the good people by consensus or group think. The group may decide it is good such as Hitler’s Germany who said they needed to weed out the weak and infirmed for the greater good of society. Same with our society that says it is better to kill a baby then to bring it into poverty even in a country that prides itself on upward mobility. The group may decide it can destroy a business if it decides the business isn’t satisfying some arbitrary goal they set up which makes them a good person. The society may define what is living a good life and what is not by brainwashing that society into an agenda driven set of morals to make those people try to become good people.

The main problem with atheism is there are no defined set of Commandments or morals to live their lives by so they are continually defining actions themselves. This leads to confusion and moral relativism where they are able to define anything as a good and right moral as long as they aren’t doing something even less moral. There is no personal morality only a fuzzy set of social morals they need to continually follow to counter their personal fallacies. This is not only an empty and dangerous way to live a life but has social consequences which we are seeing every day in society. There is no social fabric in our Godless society, only people living empty lives and excusing every sin as an old fashioned thinking when we are seeing millions being destroyed every day on the street. This is what happens and worse when you have man decide good from evil, he will often choose evil.

So we have one of the biggest days of the year for atheists to rally their troops and make their world more Godless. Their anger and resentment only reveals a giant emptiness in their lives as Christians around the world humble themselves to the amazing gift Jesus gave them and the comfort it reveals. We understand how far we fall short as men of the perfection God is. We understand and have a set of rules in the Bible to live our lives by and although we fail every day we know we have a God who loves us and has the perfect grace to forgive us of those sins. We also know that we will try harder the next day and the day after that to live our lives in his grace and attempt to help our brothers and sisters both here and yet to be born to escape their lives of emptiness and misery. We all know there is a God who wants to be a larger part of our lives to make it fuller and more abundant, but we have to humble ourselves and accept him into our lives to lead it. Once you accept him you no longer are living an empty life but one full of purpose and direction. This is the gift of Easter that we will never deserve.

Happy Easter

As usual, very nicely written and concise. May all our friends on F.R. enjoy this glorious day. God Bless us and God Bless America. The devil is among us and we have the opportunity to crush its head. Please God give us all the motivation to stop any more destruction to our country. The country that so many of us took up arms to protect.

FOX Romney-PIMP Brit Hume attacks the Speaker from
the get go for Romney.

Issues? Forgetabout it.

It is all for Romney, says the RINO Hume.

The Speaker talks of the need for ‘breakthroughs’
and focuses on world growth.

The RINO Hume redirects the Speaker back to Romney.

The Speaker shows his vast knowledge by comparing
various country’s economies to the US.

The RINO Hume redirects the Speaker back to the
‘platform’ for Romney. Hume always follows the script
and his leaking hatred for Speaker Gingrich.

The Speaker talks about debt repayment issues, energy,
and RINO Hume grips his fingers tightly and returns
the issue to “Romney”.

Hume the BAIN/FOX Romney-PIMP: Compare it to Romney.
Did you meet with Romney.
Hume really gets mad with the mention of ‘etch a sketch’
and in response, the RINO Hume defends Romney
like his lawyer.

INCREDIBLE.

On a day when freedom, love and compassion should rule,
the RINO Hume only wants to talk about Romney,
and how the Speaker is “in the middle of things” in
his “post political career”.

The Speaker maintains he is working to be the nominee.

The RINO Hume demonstrates that he is Romney’s flak
working for Biased FOX “News” as he pushes the Speaker
to also explicitly have Mr. Santorum pull out.

Sen. Kent Conrad (Democrat) doing his best to sidestep the FNS question about why no budget passed in the Senate. Flimsy excuse about passing a “Budget Control Act.” Thankfully, Sen. Ron Johnson (Republican) brings everyone back to reality.

Tough weekend for many of us here in the Keys and elsewhere.
We lost one of our favorite sons who represented us so well all over the world especially on the small screen.
Jose Wejebe was killed in a tragic plane crash Friday near Naples Fla.
IT appears his small kit plane may have been caught by a strong gust of wind causing the crash, hard to tell yet.NTSB will be all over this one.
Wejebe was a great guy, fishermen, father,tv star and more. Everyone who watched his weekly show “Spanish Fly” on ESPN and later moving to the Outdooor channel got a glimpse of just how talented he was.
I was lucky enough to count him as a friend an interviewed him many times.
He will be missed by many.

My friend Steve Waters who writes for the Sun Sentinel and Orlando Sun did this piece.

Morning AB, All….

Happy Easter to all and, as always, thank you AB for doing this thread. I am so glad Lent is over, now can eat meat on Fridays, did my Lenten sacrifice, a somber period it is. Hallejuah. Sang at Easter Vigil last night, Good Friday, Holy Thursday….Easter is here, Christ is Risen, a new day dawns.

Two things….I was so disillusioned this past Friday when I tuned in to Fox and Friends and saw that they had hired a brand new consultant….Attita Jackson, though I’ve probably spelled that wrong.

JESSIE JACKSON’S DAUGHTER!!!

FOX!!!

And just what is this woman’s claim to all knowing besides being the daughter of a race-baiter? And of course, first thing, she launches into this long ramble about Obamacare and how wonderful it is.

Folks, I understand that Fox needs countering points of view. But we’ve got that fat slob burger Bob Beckel and Juan Williams….there’s some others I want to slap.

But this Jackson spawn?

I deliberately do not watch TODAY or Good Morning America just to avoid all the liberal crap.

They’re winning people, get used to it. The liberals are winning.

Second, soon, after the election, I will be removing my name from the rolls of the Republican party. I will register as an Independent. I will no longer be working in the Republican party but will, instead, join a very active 9-12 patriot group in our area to handle my activism.

I know how to sign back up with a political party should a primary require my vote, having done this for quite a while now. But in Delaware it’s moot as our primary isn’t until like September and by then nothing will change. At any rate, I know how to handle all that.

It’s all I can do. I don’t consider myself or want to be part of the Republican party. They don’t represent me any more. I will still probably vote for Romney but somehow voting for him as an Independent makes me feel better.

I truly believe the Republican party cannot stand its Conservative base, they tolerate us for our votes and help at election time, perhaps for a few bucks. But they are part of the political class in this country and in due course I suspect a new political party will arise. I will be ready when that happens.

If not, well okay, the only thing I can do is disassociate myself from them.

Conrad going on and on about the Bush fiscal policies driving us to the brink of recession....sheesh.

You know what the Repubs need to do? They need to come up with some lying talking point and repeat it over and over like the Dems.

Although, I know, I know.....the TRUTH is bad enough with the Obamer admin.

But telling lies over and over obligates the opposition to spend time constantly refuting lies rather than getting on with the issues.

Unemployment was under 6% with Bush. Jobs went begging.

The stock market went past 15000 a couple of times.

The Repubs should make their talking point response to these lies, here’s a notion...”It’s easy to constantly be repeating lies, Conrad and Democrats, then you can avoid the issues today. “

Speaking of which Fish, my County Chairwoman has called a Executive Committee meeting for tomorrow night to have me removed as Area Chairman. She has not told anybody what the meeting is about or informed me, but I had someone find out the secret.

Nobody knows what she is going to use and I wasn’t informed, but the best we can guess is I wrote a manual that included a walking sheet she didn’t approve. Every County in the state uses them but she doesn’t allow us.

The real reason is we are doing too much organizing in our part of the County and have submitted petitions to have Light Rail stopped.

She is old guard moderate and has a big problem with Conservatives and Tea Party people. I will be exposing the entire story tomorrow and let her bring it out into the light of day.

Happy Easter

I think Sandra Kuhn (SP ??) is much more a morality-free liberal than Jesse’s daughter. She’s another recent addition to the Fox list of extreme liberals. Every now and then Kirsten Powers says something rational, so maybe she is getting a little long in the Liberal Fox tooth and needs to be retired and replaced, so they are auditioning new ones ...

Oh my Bray, I hold open palm to mouth in shock!

YOU, of all people, do not deserve to be removed. YOU are what the Republican party needs.

They did this same thing in my county, had a meeting and removed an RDC(Regional District Chair-MINE in fact) because he made some ill-advised remarks on the local yokel radio. We (the ousted guy’s EDC’s) did our best to save him but the rest of the crowd just wanted to move on so they threw out one of the best workers and organizers they had.

And get this, the ONLY Democrat in Sussex county wrote a letter to the newspaper complaining about his remark but ya know, they reach across the aisle with perfectly polished nails but they shall rip off the heads of their base and crap down their bloody necks should that base threaten their power.

How awful.

There’s more on that ousted guy, maybe I’ll go in to it later. Some really interesting things going on here in mighty Sussex county Delaware. This wonderful place just might be the locus of the uprising of a NEW political party, this same place that threw out that awful Mike Castle and got beat to bits for it.

Way I figger, Romney gets elected as we reluctantly, and bitterly, pull the levers for him, and folks like me and Bray will watch him reach across the aisle and re-arrange the deck chairs on Obamacare and our disgust will finally reach the tipping level.

The Tea Party in some fashion will be formed and will rise. For in the end, it is WE who carry this country on our backs and it is WE who fight the wars, and it will be WE who will rid this country of that destructive political class.

I really believe this.

It is pretty bizarre but I doubt it will carry the Committee even though she stacked it to begin with. We all know she is afraid of anything that threatens her power and is an absolute control freak. This is going to completely sink her Chairmanship since most people in the Party like me and what I’m doing.

One of the state assistant chairs wants me to take her place but I really don’t want it.

From the little I read on this, I had the impression that it was unclear who was threatening to out (that's the way I heard it -- a threat, not an actual outing) Hume's son, but that there were several more likely culprits than Newt.

and you’re right about Kirsten...more and more she seems rational.

Again, I know they need liberal counterparts. Indeed I admire Fox for so doing as MSNBC will never have a Conservative.

BUT to throw those two at us when we already endure Bob Beckel the former boozehound nothing burger and Juan Williams who got kicked once by his liberal friends but rises up to take more.

Dear Lord, I just cannot stand to listen to Jesse Jackson’s daughter preach to me, I just can’t.

That’s positively insulting to me.

Oh, a "murder-it" just like our good old girl Olympia (don't let the door hitcha) Snowe.

I lift my hands to God and pray that my precious granddaughter, my one and only legacy to this planet, have the opportunities and freedom that I so enjoyed, that allowed me to get a college degree, paid for by my employer but with 13 years of night school investment.

The country that had me, a poor somewhat abused child with lackluster parents at best, buying my first house before age 21, a country that allowed me, through my own hard work and brain power, to get jobs whenever and wherever I wanted, naming my price, with never a fear of my economic future....I pray that God will allow my granddaughter those same opportunities.

It will require HER effort, of course, obviously I get that. But I pray that God will not allow this current political class to turn the young all into a mass of govermental dependent zero burgers who don’t bother to go it with their own talents, no, no, no....the gubmint shall pay for my college, I shall work for the gubmint for 200 days a year vacation and a health care system that will determine what medical treatment I get, indeed when I shall live or die.

Okay....a little wordy there.

But I’m discouraged of late as I see them winning.

I made this promise to my Lord.

IF America re-elects Obama, than this country says it approves of this course, that it wants this course, that our children shall be raised up in a government dominated culture that will control their destinies.

I tell my God that I will accept this, that I will then know I am in the minority, that I will step down and live the remainder of my days as happy as I can, that I will enjoy my granddaughter and do my best to tell her how it ONCE was but beyond that, I will be gracious and accept the will of the American people.

It’s all I can do and I suggest that the rest of you consider the same.

A lot of FReepers complaining of the same thing. I find myself watching less and less FNC programs for the reasons you mentioned.

If we do not like the direction FNC is going, we need to stop watching! Ratings are the only thing they understand.

I understand that Fox needs countering points of view

That's where FOXNEWS presents wrong as somehow being right, and it's not logical.

Last night at Easter Vigil our exit song, as just played and sang by the Morman Tabernacle Choir, was “Jesus Christ is Risen Today”.

We sing the recessional song, maybe a verse or two, then Todd, our Choir director ends the song as people in the congregation want to get out of there.

Last night we belted out that song with a drummer and a band and our fabulous choir, with the congregation singing along just as joyously. After two versus Todd leaned out from behind the organ consol and held up four fingers as indicator that we would be singing all four verses.

The choir sang, the band played, our professional percussionist pounded the kettle drums and the place rocked! AND NO ONE LEFT THEIR PEW EARLY!

We sang and my own alto voice reached heights I didn’t know I had. We sang all four verses, the flutes playing, the kettle drum reverberating, the guitars circulating, the smell of incense still in our noses.

After that glorious, glorious song the congregation gave us all a standing ovation, right there in the church.

It was magnificent.

W.Bush didn’t offer Conservative Economic Solutions is the same as Romney’s economic plan, being the Democrat’s Economic Policy results left despair, but there may be a lack of confidence because Romney(or Santorum as some may prefer) doesn’t understand Conservative Solutions such as Newt’s flat income tax. Remember it is W Bush that gave us the first “Stimulus bill” and those tax rebate checks, when he should have lowered tax rates.

IF America re-elects Obama, than this country says it approves of this course, that it wants this course, that our children shall be raised up in a government dominated culture that will control their destinies.

If it were only that benign. If Obama is reelected, your daughter will grow up in a nation with a declining standard of living that is Balkanized along racial, cultural, and linguistic lines. The Dems will be the permanent majority party and the Constitution will mean whatever they say it means. Obamacare will be transformed into a single payer system.

Demographically, by 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as defined by the USG and by 2039 half of the country will be minorities. And by 2050, one in five will be foreign born. This will have electoral and social consequences. Demography is destiny.

I tell my God that I will accept this, that I will then know I am in the minority, that I will step down and live the remainder of my days as happy as I can, that I will enjoy my granddaughter and do my best to tell her how it ONCE was but beyond that, I will be gracious and accept the will of the American people.

I will fight this transformation to my dying breath. I owe it to my patrimony and our Founders. I will not go gentle into that good night.
