From the depths I have cried out to you, O Lord;
Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplication.
If you, Lord, were to mark iniquities, who, O Lord, shall stand?
But with you is forgiveness, that you may be revered. I trust in the Lord;
My soul trusts in his word.
My soul waits for the Lord,
more than watchmen wait for the dawn. More than watchmen wait for the dawn, let Israel hope in the Lord.
For with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

My father beat him by two years. He was 95.

May the Lord give his family comfort in their time of loss.

Yepper. It’s no wonder that Chris Wallace defected to the conservatives. I would too, and change my last name in the process.

I can’t believe some of the replies here. Such hatred.

Sadly, you can read comments posted on most internet forums, blogs and news stories, and see the same kind of mindless venom. It's everywhere, not just on political and news sites. You can see it no matter what the topic.

I don't know if there really is a seething, angry bitterness lurking inside most people, or if people just reveal their inner bratty child due to the veil of internet (presumed) anonymity.

Whatever the reason, it just seems more and more people use the internet to publicly share the dark sides of their nature. All over the world, it seems people are not uplifting each other. We are tearing each other down.

Otherwise, Adof is keeping a spot warm for his arrival at the eternal slow bar-b-que.

Yep. I remember reading a blog that was celebrating when J.D. Salinger died and claiming he’s in hell for all the juvenile delinquency he inspired. You can find it for just about any public figure.

Indeed, Mike Wallace “the power”, as opposed to Mike Wallace “a man”, is a totaly different issue. Mike Wallace “the power” is a piece of garbage I am not missing.

I am not into this crap, as in, Mike who?

Not just for public figures, either. Some kind of fury is abroad in the land and shows itself anywhere on the internet where people can post their opinions. Music, sports, fashion, you name it. It's a safe bet some will get nasty before too long.

Rest In Peace, Mike, and wouldn’t it be a hoot if St. Peter met you at the pearly gates with a whole sheaf of gotcha questions :)

On Easter, yet! Literally the time to make a judgement about a person’s worth. Even Charles Manson will deserve a respectful doubt.

I would guess that the guiding principle here is, if you wouldn't put in on your Facebook page, don't put it here...

How about this guiding principle: if you wouldn't say it at a dinner table with your bishop and parish pastor (substitute equivalents for other religions), then it probably doesn't belong online.

I find it fascinating, and disgusting, to watch the RINO contingent push a religio-decency-shaming-PC group condemnation of anyone who points out that the person who died was a rabid Leftist who openly declared he would not warn American soldiers if they were going to be ambushed and who prostituted himself to the liberal agenda and the betrayal of the public trust for fifty years.

Beware scolding infiltrators, Freepers. Note when they can’t hold back their collectivist “we,” “us” and “our” statements. They are firmly determined to create a “Conservative TM” brand label to enable Leftist horror by denying the power to speak against it.

It is a soft war, a war of “disappointments” and “sadness” and chiding and tsk tsking and pseudo-Christian turn-the-other-cheek crap. It is psychological sabotage, and it is deadly - and those who practice it mean it to be deadly. RINOs are not irritants - RINOs are traitors.

Mike Wallace used the power of the press to betray American’s understanding of the truth, and because of that, America is better off now that he’s dead.

And that’s the truth.

You want a nice eulogy? Live a good life.

Wallace was a left-wing propagandist.

Yes, I DO hate left-wing propagandists.

You have a problem with this?
