From JFK To George Zimmerman - And Response

So now it appears NBC has fired an "un-named," producer who altered the George Zimmerman 911 call and by doing so inflamed racial tensions in South Florida. Does anyone really believe this is an honest mistake with all of the editorial checks a mainstream news organization like NBC has in place? Is there anyone out there who doesn't think the Mainstream Media doesn't have a political agenda? And oh, how about that vast right wing media that exposed this breach of journalistic integrity? Thirty years ago we would have never known about it.

I remember almost 50 years ago when JFK was assassinated on a Friday afternoon in Dallas. For the next 24 hours all we heard about were all the right wing hate groups in Dallas. Then on Saturday afternoon we find out that Lee Harvey Oswald was of all things, a pro-Castro Marxist. And I remember the Tawana Brawley case where the "Reverend" Al Sharpton tried to inflame racial tensions in upstate New York and later we found out the whole story was a hoax.

I lived in Atlanta in 1996 when we had the Centennial Olympic Park bombing and the media all jumped on the bandwagon to accuse a poor little security guard named Richard Jewell of being the bomber. Later we discovered he was only guilty of trying to warn people of a suspicious package. And I am sure we all remember the Duke lacrosse team case when the media was judge, juror and executioner on the white guys on the lacrosse team. Later, once again, we found out the whole thing was a hoax and the district attorney actually was convicted of abusing his power.

One other fact about the Richard Jewell case. Several media organizations had to pay him an, "undisclosed" sum for their erroneous reporting and one of those was NBC. I hope when this is all over George Zimmerman owns Rockefeller Center.

Yes I remember that .. and Walker's lawsuit against the AP for their lies connecting him to riots at the U.of Mississippi.

I think it was ruled an OOOPs moment and the AP did not mean to libel Walker.

I sure as hell wish people would sue the hell out of these clowns now.. especially the innocent ones wrongly connected to Zimmerman.

Me too.

I had family in Wappingers Falls during the Brawley debacle. The whole thing was solved by noon the next day and the D.A. was considering bring charges against young Tawana for filing a false police report. (As an aside both Sharpton and the Brawley family raked in mega bucks even though they lost the case against the D.A and the police dept. and never paid.)

The details of the assassination of JFK were supposed to have been sealed for 50 years before being released......and we're still waiting.

Atlanta and The Duke LaCrosse players were other cases that turned the the old adage 'money talks, BS walks' topsy turvy .

Actually there was a PBS documentary on the JFK assassination just a few years back narrated by the perky one...all it spoke of was right wing hate for JFK....just one line that Oswald was left.....

The media's tale of two crimes..

Media storm rages coast-to-coast: Whites go on killing spree -- black Americans targeted by racists white Americans! Whites declare war on blacks, another Tulsa 1921 massacre! Likely to spread to all cities this election year!

But a good thing happened, the killers are arrested two days after the heinous crimes. No question that hate was involved, turns out that revenge was a big part of the reason too. They deserves maximum punishment for killing innocents IMO.

Second case: Black 12-year old child knocks 300-pound racist white guy (the other part of the guy is Hispanic and not racist) to ground, 300-pound racist white guy eventually shoots black 12-year-old child to death claiming that the child was about to beat him to death.

IF 300-pound racist white guy gets anything less than immediate death for killing the 12-year-year-old child, two minutes later some blacks may go looking for whites to kill -- Good idea! say the media; but, the good news for us!, they will be there covering the revenge killings and they will the first to go! :) :)

Of course ,that’s unsubstantiated and unproven but since that MO is good enough for NBC and the rest of the media, let’s go with that.

Walker was who Oswald took a shot just before JFK...now think if Oswald had killed Walker and got caught before JFK...Oswald would of been a hero of the left...the left would of held protest to have him freed as a political prisoner...kid in collage would have Oswald picture on tee shirt like Che...a hero.......

You know it said that Oswald only missed Walker because he shot through a closed window, and the bullet deflected off one of the window muntins....the strip of wood that holds the panes of glass in a divided-light window

So if Oswald kills Walker does Oswald then kill Kennedy?...unlikely...

So Kennedy does not become a martyr ...

At the time it looked like Kennedy would lose reelection...

but either way...no Johnson becoming president in 64...

So Vietnam plays out differently...

So then no Nixon in 68?... So no Watergate in 73?...

So no Carter in 76 in reaction to Watergate?

So then no Reagan in reaction to Carter?..

So..no fall of the Soviet Union from Reagan standing up to them?

And on and on and on...

Could all that pivot on a little strip of wood in a place in time and space?
