Conservatives Continue to Resist Mitt 'Anyone But Obama' Romney
Breitbart ^ | April 8, 2012 | Susan Berry

If you have not been a supporter of Mitt Romney’s since the start of the GOP primary campaign, you may be one of those stubborn conservatives, those obstinate Tea Partiers, or those recalcitrant Constitutionalists, who are yet refusing to commit to Gov. Romney at this midpoint of the nomination race. Perhaps you are tired of hearing words like “coalesce,” “electable,” “inevitable,” and “presumptive,” and phrases like, “It’s time to get behind Mitt,” or “We really have to decide so we can ‘focus on’ Obama.”

We are in our current state because we have been willing to accept creeping and ever-increasing liberalism within the Republican Party. We have been content to drift leftward rather than chance a temporary setback. We have now drifted so far left that we are either in the handbasket or in the cesspool. This approach has obviously not worked. If we continue along this road, we will eventually end up with someone worse than Obama as our own nominee.

We need to stop the handbasket. It may be easier and safer at the moment to ride than to jump out, but that will not last much longer. We need to jump out.

A vote for Romney only encourages the establishment to push for someone even more liberal next time.

As far at the argument that “half a loaf is better than none”: If the half a loaf is invested with maggots, it’s better to have none.

God help us.

I refuse to surrender my soul for the "good of the party".

Were now getting the same thing from the party groupies/insiders every four years now.

Party over principal, compromise conservatism, party over patriotism, off shore profits regardless of consequences, biggergov, bigger spending, open borders to feed fatcorps low wage desires...

Pathetic stuff, and the state of the country, the economy, borders, government corruption over the past few decades, depict this all too well.

Maybe after eating two excrement sandwiches in four years we should start a third party and make it stick!

Yes!!!! We could do it within 4 years. The the GOP have sold their souls very clear. That they rigged it for Romney is also. And why not start a conservative News network, heck why not a 'new' everything. That's the problem. We have nothing and they have everything. We dropped the ball four years ago and we dropped it again, because we had nothing to hold it with.

It is pathetic. I am not voting for this charlatan. I hope a real and prominent conservative runs third party.

Read the words FRiend. I said no such thing. I said ‘the one’ must be stopped any way possible. If our only choice is to vote then.....but ONLY IF.

Principle will not protect your loved ones, put food on the table or guarantee your freedom? Give it some thought

We might as well have published their playbook for them... here it all is, right on time.

“Mittens is a damn dummycrat and is NOT a Republican. It’s a disgrace to have this pro-homosexual lifestyle, pro-abortion, pro-high taxes, pro-liberal judge appointment, pure phony in our party. Why didn’t he run against Obummer in a democratic primary and leave us the hell alone?

We are absolutely screwed big time if this turncoat liar takes the top of our ticket.”

That’s right. This SOB is just a more handsome Harry Reid without the fairy intonation. I detest him as much as Obama.

Neither will liberals, even liberals with "r"s behind their names.

The worst thing that can happen is that Obama wins another 4 years and destroys America.

All or you that despise Romney (I am one of those) have to come to a different conclusion (not the election).

Do you want to elect Obama for another 4 years or elect any Republican? This year, the decision is more important that in other years. We currently have a Socialist, Marxist running for re-election. His initial election was only because he disguised his intentions. Do you really doubt his intentions for the next 4 years?

So your decision comes down to saving America as we know it and voting for someone you despise (probably Romney) or not voting and letting Obama destroy America. How can this decision be questionable?

IF I wanted America socialized, both Romney and Obama can do it.

But, I don’t like water whiskey, alcohol laced gasoline, or communism-lite.

So, if Romnutz is the Pubbie candidate, I will either have to not vote, do a futile write-in vote, or decide if America should give Bammy a second term.

I tend to think that if there is to be a battle for the soul of America, it had better be very soon, as the public schools are churning out lil’ commies every graduation day.

At the present time, an argument can be made that there may already be too few who understand the Constitution and are willing to defend it.

For that sorry state of affairs, slap a teacher.

If there is a brokered convention and Mittens signs his name in blood to written platform planks re: life; energy; budget/spending; the 2nd amendment; et cetera
AND
if Jim R. and a few others whose opinions I trust then say, “Let’s do it.” I would seriously consider what you are proposing (whether you will admit it or not).
But I don’t expect that to happen since Romney is a liberal snake, so I’ll continue to read earnest comments here like yours telling us that we need to do what we did four years ago, and keep making my own plans.

“The result may be an exodus of the values voters from the Republican Party...”

You can count on me to be one. I have resolved that after turning 18 in 1988, having “pluged my nose” and voted for RINO’s ever since - 24 years of this is enough.

I have accepted that the union is dead. The God Fearing States of America. The only states that had the sense to stay true to their faith and founding principles by rejecting this ignoble liar Mitt Romney when having a clear choice of a conservative in the GOP Primaries.

It would take conservatives about five minutes to “realign.” All they have to do is to return to principle and resolve to quit compromising it.

Becoming Romney Republicans is the opposite of that.

Rush COULD have single handely stopped Romney from the beginning. He played both sides to appease his audience by acting from one day to the next in a manner that BOTH sides of the GOP thought he was really for THEIR candidate.

This is not like the behavior of our founding fathers who pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. This was completely self serving.

At least Marl Levin did a helluva job pointing out what Romney is and pulled no punches. He was honest up front about the fact that if Romney is nominated, he will vote for him.

I will part company at that point.

Of course Romney is a Democrat.

He's just running on the Republican ticket.

It's like watching pro-wrestling, as the audience of fools applaud, thinking it's all real and legitimate.

Your logic is sound. But where do you think the US will be in another 4 yrs? We are so damn broke as country that is deplorable. We are not a production / exporting nation anymore. We have a resident that denounces God and Christ and bestows billions on the muslims. He also shut down countless oil wells and has done everything in his power to promote racial hatred. Have you listened the the silence regarding the Black Panthers?

Every part of our society he wants to destroy. Our schools are teaching COMMUNISM, not socialism. He has told us that he wants to rule by decree. He told us the congress is irrelevant and laughed at and threatened the Supreme Court. Oh forgot about that. You won't even have the right to health care in a couple of years unless you are black.

Do you think you have time enough to give this lunatic another 4 years? I wonder what it would be like?

I hope I never have to find out

“Time to take a VERY GOOD LOOK people. The America you all profess to love is almost gone and this evil (words omitted) ever gets back in for another 4 years, you can kiss life as you know it goodbye.”

Life as I knew it IS GONE. The union is dead. It died serving mammon with their northern values. Long live the God fearing States of America, the southern states, Iowa and Kansas who are the only states thus far with the sense and moral rectitude to reject this charlatan Romney.

The northern states who thought they were wise and voted like fools are surrounded. We are contiguous, we are united and our state legislatures have and will FURTHER stand their ground. I have no sympathy for what befalls them as they had their choice and gave approbation to a proven pathological liar because they had no faith in God or the conservative candidates who vowed to fight for these founding principles.

It is an axiom that we get the kind of government we deserve. Those who supported Romney will well.
