For all the absolute no's to Mitt Romney, here's a chance to be involved in a new movement!

NUTS FOR PRESIDENT!

Here is the rational and beginning of the movement:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2868450/posts?page=19#19

Of course, this movement only begins in earnest when the Republican party insists on putting Mitt on the ballot. UNTIL then, FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! For the conservative of your choice.

The USA is more important than my choice for President, and cannot withstand four more years of obama, and all that entails.

Imagine eight more years of filling the Supreme Court with David Souters.

Will you be writing Newt in on your ballot if Romney gets the R nom?

Call me old school (and not to be snarky), but that's no one's business but my own.

Anyway, it may all be academic if SHTF before November, and given the way this year's gone so far, I give it a better than even chance.

At this point in life, I'll only regret not being young enough to be a better soldier.
But even old guys can kill marxists.
So we'll see . . .

Seems appropriate considering that the White House is occupied by an Avatar of Tzeentch.

Imagine eight more years of filling the Supreme Court with David Souters.

You should research your boy Romney's record before making ignorant statements like that.

Given his record of nominating only 9 Republicans out of 36 nominations, and many of those Democrats he nominated were far left-wing, Gay-Agenda Loving, Living Constitution types.

Legal analysts say candidate Romney is different from Gov. Romney.

Liberty Counsel Action Vice President Matt Barber said Romney’s appointments were constitutional “living document” poster children.

“Many of Romney’s appointments were not only liberal, not only Democrats, but were radical counter-constitutionalists. How on earth can we expect that, as president, he would be any different?” Barber asked rhetorically.

“Actions speak louder than words, and Mitt Romney’s actions as governor scream from the rooftops that he cannot be trusted with this most important of presidential responsibilities.”

Barber cites two specific examples of Romney’s radical appointments.

“As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney not only failed in this regard, he appointed a number of very liberal, if not radical, ‘living, breathing’-minded judges to the bench,” Barber said.

“Two that come to mind were extreme homosexualists Marianne C. Hinkle and Stephen Abany,” he said. “They both had a long history of pro-gay activism, yet Romney didn’t hesitate to put them on the bench.”

“These are people who outrageously believe the postmodern notion that newfangled ‘gay rights’ trump our constitutionally guaranteed First Amendment rights,” he said.

Baldwin agreed, citing Romney’s statements about the two requirements he actually used when selecting judges.

“Romney did focus on two criteria: their legal experience and whether they would be tough on crime. In other words, the nominee could be a gay activist or a pro-big government, pro-quota, pro-gun control Democrat Party hack who detests every judicial principle treasured by our founding fathers,” Baldwin said. “But if he happens to be tough on crime and have prosecutorial experience, he gets past the Romney filter. Many of Romney’s nominees fit that description.”

Baldwin added that Romney did have some ideological criteria for many of his nominees:

“It was criteria commonly used by the left. For starters, his nominees were mostly pro-abortion. Indeed, while campaigning for governor in 2002, Romney told the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) that his judicial nominees would more likely protect abortion rights than would those of a Democrat Governor, according to notes from a person attending this meeting.”

And when he is the pubbie candidate, what will the FReeper purists do then?

Purists?

You sit there posting self-righteous drivel while turning yourself and your conservative principles into a pretzel to support and pimp a candidate whose record provides nothing to recommend himself to conservatives?

Whose record includes the following?

1. Implemented/created Gay Marriage in MA
2. Supported and forced Gay Adoption in MA
3. Supported Abortion wholeheartedly
4. Raised taxes/fees over 300% while being Governor of MA
5. Implemented a state-level Cap and Trade system.
6. Supported Man-Made Global Warming
7. Supported the Brady Bill
8. Implemented a state level "Assault" Weapons Bill after the Federal AWB was allowed to expire
9. Supported TARP
10. Supported Amnesty for Illegal Aliens (Citizenship for those already here)
11. Supported McCain-Kennedy(Amenesty)
12. Implemented a socialized medicine in MA called RomneyCare complete with an Individual Mandate and $50 abortions
13. Nominated 27 Democrats (out of 36 nominations) for judgeships in MA, many of them extreme left-wingers

That they do.

I love the fluff, but don’t actually play - partly because of the $, partly because of GW’s rep for nerfing old armies in favor of new.

I must admit, though, the thought of putting together a properly mechanized and artillery-supported Imperial Guard army has appeal...

I understand the sentiment, and I am amused, and a vote for "NUTS!" is certainly a more worthy vote than one for Romney. But why not coalesce with a write-in around Santorum or Gingrich to send such a message? or perhaps wait to see if there is an independent on the ballot? Romney is a lost cause. But the majority of the voting blocks that are giving him a victory in the primaries (like my own Wisconsin's Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee counties) will turn on him like a rabid dog for Obama in November. Convincing the real conservatives in Wisconsin to coalesce around Santorum, for example, as a write-in could actually give him more votes than Romney for this state in the general election. To me, that seems like a much more powerful message to the GOP-e.

The USA can withstand another four years of Obama. Everything he tries will be opposed by Conservatives and a reluctant GOP pushed by the conservatives.

If Romney is elected all bets are off. The conservative justices of the Supreme Court may consider it safe to retire and be replaced by the liberal Massachusetts judges that Romney favors.
The military is not safe, a Romney presidency is likely to make far deeper cuts than Obama would ever be able to get away with.

I've said it before ABO is an idiot strategy, it assumes conservatives are stupid. A Romney presidency would be far worse than four more years of Obama. The only way to get the GOP to run conservatives is for conservatives to refuse to vote for liberal republicans...
