“What ever happened to INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY and DUE PROCESS?” demands a member of George Zimmerman‘s family in a letter sent to Attorney General Eric Holder this week, signed “a concerned Zimmerman family member.” The letter, which appeared in the Daily Caller today, expressed concern over “many in the black community” forming “lynch mobs” against Zimmerman, who they conclude is “the only person who has had their civil rights violated.” It also called for members of the New Black Panthers to come under arrest and compared the story to the novel To Kill a Mockingbird– but not how you might think.
“George has done more for the black community than a lot of the black individual/organizations that are calling for his arrest (or death),” the family member assures, and refuses to “go into the intricacies of the case.” Instead, they ask, “why, when the law of the land is crystal clear, is your office not arresting the New Black Panthers for hate crimes?” The letter goes on to quote the legal definition of a hate crime and ask, “Since when can a group of people put a bounty on someone’s head, circulate Wanted posters publicly, and still be walking the streets?”
Another fascinating bit from the letter is their insistence that the To Kill a Mockingbird analogy in this story is between George Zimmerman and Tom Robinson, the black man falsely accused of raping a young white girl because he ran away from her when approached, and subsequently killed in a prison escape attempt:
Strangely enough this case has a lot of parallels to those of Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill a Mockingbird. George Zimmerman has been treated much like Tom Robinson was, chastised for not being the right (or wrong) color and found guilty based on race factors. You have the opportunity to act as Atticus and do the right thing. Your boss would refer to this as a “teachable moment.”

Impossible for any of us to imagine being in this country and have your life taken from you via the President and a race of people calling for you to be killed by a group of thugs....and to have to be in hiding ta boot!
My heart goes out to this family greatly....so I think this letter to Holder is a good thing. It will be interesting to see how he responds...if he responds at all. I’m relatively certain he’ll claim he cannot interfer with a case that’s pending...or something of that nature.

There is more of a chance of Barney Frank going straight and Nancy Pelosi turning conservative than Holder arresting the NB Panther party. Don’t forget: Holder is the psychopath who is obsessed with trying Khalid Sheik Mohammed as a US citizen with full constitutional rights so KSM has a better chance at being freed so he can mass kill again. What makes people think Holder would give a damn about the murder of ONE US citizen?

Watched a show last night where a white woman who drove a school bus and a black man spent 15 years in prison for child molestation. They didn’t even know each other. The cop who originally investigated the case said the arrest and conviction was due to media pressure.
Ended up the mother that first made the accusations sued Head Start and had a record for drugs. One of the kids is now grown and in prison and he said his deceased mother (a different woman) made the stuff up to make money.
A judge finally heard the appeal and aquitted both. Of course the former DA says they’re guilty and appealed the ruling. The Ohip SC over ruled the judge but the judge ignored them. Now the two people are still in limbo wondering if they’ll go back to prison.
This stuff happens a lot more often than we realize.
No offense, but clucking "ain't it a shame" as so many on this thread are doing misses the point by a country mile. It fails to appreciate the courage and savvy of the Zimmerman family, and shows why they raised a son willing to defend civilization: They don't expect Obama, Holder, and their peeps to do the right thing, any more than we do. They are pointing out what the right thing would be, so they can kick Holder's @$$ with it, and they are doing an excellent job.
There is no prosecution case to be made here—that's becoming obvious, even through the State-Run Media. The Obamanauts and the media fakers are in retreat-and-explanation phase, and each new detail to come out, such as the Pampers' telephone conference, calling for a "Red Sea" of blood, will accelerate the rout. The media companies, such as NBC, are panic-stricken about lawsuits now, hence the claim that their distortion of the police tape was an "error." It's their improbable assertion that there was no (liability-inducing) malice on their part.
By calling for the Pampers' arrest, the Zimmermans, bless their hearts, are tying an oily rag to the horse's tail and setting it on fire. I say, break out the popcorn. If the Obamanauts refuse to drop the matter, the show will only get better.
Hey, I thought that the Black Panthers were simply a pro Black support group!
