Sanford police said shots were fired into an empty police cruiser on Tuesday morning in the neighborhood where George Zimmerman used to live and where Trayvon Martin was shot and killed. That news comes after sources told WFTV that Zimmerman could be arrested or turn himself in to police sometime this week.
Sanford police told WFTV shots were fired at a police cruiser on Retreat View Circle in the Twin Lakes subdivision.
A witness said she heard six gunshots ring out.
No one was in the cruiser at the time, according to police. The vehicle was taken to Sanford police headquarters. Officers are still investigating.

That bridge was crossed long ago. All we're witnessing is a matter of degree.
Just wishful, magical thinking. Zimmerman could turn himself in or be arrested, monkeys could fly out of their butt, they could suddenly get a clue... you know, that kind of thing.
Won’t actually happen.
The Dems will think better of this and eventually back down.
For sure they do not want a trial. A trial would pit their two key ethnic interest groups against one another, with a totally unpredictable outcome. A trial could blow their party into smithereens.
They’d rather have the bloody shirt to wave around for the next few election cycles anyhow.
> things they are taught to fear the most are the evil
> Republicans banning their ability to get abortions,
> have gay marriages or
> the evil Republican will take away their social security.
> Works like a charm every election.
And don’t forget another of their favorites, “Tax the Rich”.
Even though the richest people in the Congress are Democrats, who also have batteries of lawyers to help circumvent those tax laws so cleverly written for their benefit.
