FOX News Radio just said that Santorum is going to announce a halt to his campaign within the hour. A rally in Gettysburg is said to have been changed to a press conference.
SO ? could Mitt Romney’s campaign be spreading lies ? and what if ? or what is FOX NEWS going to do if this is not true ?
I hope his daughter is OK.

If he “suspends” his campaign, he can continue to raise money to retire his debt, plus likely hold on to his candidates so as to be a power broker at the GOP-e / RINO convention.
Seems he is simply suspending to spend a few more days with Bella, not ceding the race, according to the other thread.
If you haven’t got the memo. Newt is all in on Milt being the nominee. All you have to do is watch his pitiful appearances on the Sunday morning shows Easter to see him kissing Milts @$$.
I think it does have something to do with his little daughter but I was hoping he would hang in there till Texas. I wanted to vote for him.

I still hope Texas changes to winner-take-all for 2016 and beyond. Why are conservative states like Texas usually proportional and liberal states like New York and Illinois winner-take-all?. No wonder moderates have been the nominees in 2008 and now in 2012.
Sad to see him go, I think some more money and less manipulation by the GOP E would have changed a lot of things for this race.

Well, the GOPe and the RINO’s own this now. They did everything they could to pimp this loser Milt. It is all on them now. If Milt comes up a loser in Nov, there will be a bloodbath in the GOP and the first head Conservatives will be gunning for is Karl Rove. His name will be mud and hopefully it will destroy the party so that the Tea Party and Conservatives can consolidate something more reflective of a viable party.
All these dope swear this guy is the only one who can win in Nov and they all have it on the record. As Rush just said...There are no more excuses from the RINO wing.

If you took the time to notice, all the threads came in within a 4 minute period. Most of us were trying to confirm before we posted. It happens here all the time when news breaks.
Don’t panic though. By tomorrow, these threads will have disappeared into the either of forgotten FR threads and you can comfortably get back to hectoring blog pimps and dopes posting incoherent vanities.

Really, really sad, Lazlo. Thanks for all you did on the Rick ping list. I’m seriously near tears.
Whatever his reasoning, the symbolism of the place it is to take place could not in itself speak more signification in regard to theses united States.
There the tide turned against self-government 150 years ago. There the fate of freedom was lost to the false promises of an evil empire. There it was decided that men would be made subjects to a central government, rather than governments subject to the consent of men.
So sad. Thank you, Lazlo, for the Santorum pings. They always brightened my day! : )
I doubt he would have entered the presidential stakes at all if he thought he could not cope with her health issues and run the country as well.
Hope Bella beats the odds and grows up to enjoy her life.
More likely he is dropping out because of his poor showing in the primaries.
I think a lot of conservatives will demand some money before doing grassroots work for Romney. The RINO East Coast PR Firms that lost the McCain Election shouldn’t get all the money since it was grassroots that won the 2010 elections.

This is obviously awful news for many of us.
Unless somebody can figure out how to get Newt Gingrich to the point that he wins three more states to meet the five-state threshold to put his name into nomination, this primary is over.
Tomorrow's another day. Let's hope we have better news from the Gingrich campaign soon. Is there a Gingrich ping list?
