I don’t blame Santorum, I blame the people who foolishly supported him instead of Newt. honestly though, I’m laughing out loud at them now. but don’t worry, I’m sure sweater vest is on the short list for VP.

I hope everyone that supported Santorum is happy with the result!

If you had just gotten behind Gingrich, we could of had a REAL conservative as our nominee.

Ouch, unfair. And today? Of all days? You could exactly reverse the two names, you know. If everyone could have supported either one of these two we could have had a conservative nominee.

Four more years of Obama will mean game, set, and match for the USA. His Marxist policies implemented by his Czars will transform America forever.

This is the most important election of our lifetimes. We are at the crossroads between the welfare state and liberty. The welfare state will collapse eventually and bring the nation down with it.

If Obama wins, America loses.

BOY is THAT the truth. Wake up folks - this IS the most important election of OUR ENTIRE lifetime so far. Get off that couch and DO SOMETHING for cryin out loud. Those of us in Wisconsin are trying to save our Gov. Walker from this nasty recall. Working our buns off here.

Call radio shows, write letters to the editor - short, sweet, polite and to the point. Let’s do it.

This means either:

1) Obama wins. Or,

2) The onerous Romney wins, fouls up horribly, cements the liberal socialist agenda in Washington, captains the economy as it collapses, guaranteeing that the Democrats will rule for another 50 years, assuming the United States itself does not collapse from its top-heavy, inefficient and totalitarian government.

In both cases, the conservative Supreme Court is lost, America’s status as an economic and military superpower is over, internationalism will cause massive deprivation and suffering, our Bill of Rights will be forgotten and we will be subjected to East Germany quality nanny-statism.

The parts of our economy that could succeed will be suppressed, we will have massive and unpopular social change foisted on us, ignorant and fatalistic pseudo-scientists will finally get a ruinous chance to lord it over us with fantasies like population control and MMGW, and Agenda 21 will try to force all Americans into giant metropolises on the coasts, so that the heartland will be depopulated.

The very young will either be aborted or raised in government controlled stalls like farm animals, and anyone over the age of 60 will be put down as “obsolete”. Death will be king.

Our allies will fall like dominoes before assorted tyrants, and millions of innocent people will be enslaved or die.

Congratulations, Republican leaders. This is what you wanted. This is what you craved. This is what you paid for and forced. And this is why you struggled so hard against the conservatives that wanted to stop this.

You won. America lost. Hopefully America will be remembered as a place that was once great, like Atlantis, a wonderful place full of dynamic people that the oppressed people of the world could have looked at with hope, that they might someday live like that, in freedom and liberty.

And hopefully, people like you will be remembered for ruining it, both directly and in complicity with the forces of evil and despair. That your names be cursed until they are forgotten, and your offspring live as castrated chattel.

You won.

WHAT HAPPENED TO DEFUNDING OBAMACARE? WHAT HAPPENED TO FAST AND FURIOUS?

Oh, fer cryin' out loud, why don't you direct your ire at thosee who are actually responsible?

Do you not realize that the House alone is powerless to repeal any law? It takes a Senate and a President to repeal Obamacare. Which will not happen with this Senate and this President.

You know better than that.

And do you not realize that House committees can investigate...but cannot prosecute? That takes a special prosecutor -- who must be appointed by the Attorney General, with the President's approval. And, with this Attorney General and this President, that ain't gonna happen.

You know better than that, too.

Now, if you <really want these things to happen, there's only one way to make them happen: DEFEAT THE DEMOCRATS AT THE POLLS IN NOVEMBER! SQUASH THEM LIKE A BUG!!!

Yeah, even if it means voting for Mitt Romney...

How sad that you have rolled over and given up. That’s just what the libs want us to do. If people don’t get out and vote this marxist out of office - then those who bitch about the destruction of our freedoms, have no one to blame but themselves, because they gave it to obama.

Please for once can we have a politician tell the truth. He is NOT SUSPENDING HIS CAMPAIGN. HE IS ENDING IT!...Please Rick, Tell the truth. Words mean things."

You're right. Words mean things. That's why Rick is suspending his campaign. It's a word with a very specific legal definition and status that means he's allowed to continue to accrue funds to retire his campaign debt. If he ended his campaign, he would not be permitted to do so.

He's suspending the campaign, not the presidential race.

One and the same practically speaking. The only difference is in the FEC laws over the disposition of the remaining campaign funds.

Technically, Herman Cain only suspended his campaign, too.

"Former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum holds a four-point lead in his home state in Rasmussen Reports’ first look at the upcoming Pennsylvania Republican Primary.

Four points isn't much. I was listening to some talk radio (can't remember which one) early this morning and he was saying if Rick were to lose his home state of Pennsylvania it would ruin his political career. He also said that in 8 yrs. Rick would still be 3 years younger than Romney is now. He still has time and this race has really put him out there in the public eye.

You spoiled baby. Hope you enjoy 4 more years of Obama! People like you make me want to puke. If we had your types several hundred years ago we’d all be subjects now.

Quite frankly, and this might get me banned but here goes. Most all FREEPER’s I’ve met are lazy and cheapskate bigmouth cybercowbabies. I’ve tried thru the local boards to recruit FREEPER’s for serious candidates to help doorbell, work phone banks, go to political meetings or any other activity related to winning an election.

Know what happens 99% of the time when asking a Freeper to get involved, Hector? They act just like you. They think that by sitting behind a monitor under some nom de plume pecking out some pithy political remark here or at some other forum is a worthy contribution to the war against liberty.

So, Hector buddy, you stay home and play with yourself, but don’t you dare bitch come next November when Obama sails into the Oval Office for a second term. You will be partially responsible. Thanks.

So Saintorum “takes one for the team”. The question remains, for which team?

Fox-Romney News is already talking about how he will soon get behind Romney.

Will he now support RINO Romney, as he has done in the past? OR, at this 11th hour, will he support the real conservative, Newt Gingrich?

I guess I can relax. I can sleep in Election Day. All of those independents and moderates will make up for me not voting for RINO.

Please, please, please don't sleep in. I absolutely despise Romney and will not vote for that big government liberal, but I will be voting. Especially if we are stuck with as unpalatable a pair as Obama v. Romney, we need as conservative a Congress as possible to minimize the damage done by either big government liberal. Note: I will be writing in an acceptable pair rather than voting for either a socialist who hates America or a Massachusetts liberal who wants America to be far more "progressive".

I completely agree with you. I knew this years ago, but everyone thought I was over simplifying the two party cartel. Romney was anointed at the same meeting when they anointed that old gas bag traitor McCain. They both were picked to throw the fight. Face it people, we are now officially being run by the Chicago mob. The mob war has been over since the Dixie mafia lost to the Chicago. All Clinton and Obama represent are basically figurehead mob bosses.

Ok,so when will he be getting back in the race? Under what conditions will he "reinstate" his campaign?

Obviously, he won't be getting back in and under no circumstance will he "reinstate" his campaign. Once again it's over. He has ended his campaign.

The legal loophole you describe does not change the meaning of "Suspend" or "End". What Santorum just did is END his campaign.

If Rick were in a court room you might have a point but that's not the case.

Legally I believe he has to say “suspending” rather than “ending” his campaign or else he loses his delegates. And while Romney now will be the nominee, conservative delegates can at least push for a better conservative GOP party plank. Not much, but better than nothing.
