To hell with the GOP-e. Barring a miracle, they got their big government, unconstitutional mandate loving, socialist abortionist Obama-lite RINO on the ballot, they can now get him elected.
We are the resistance!!
Shove him down our throats today, we shove him up your donkeys in November!!
I can see November from my house!!
I personally don’t believe the GOP ever intended to take the white house. The problems of America are just too big and doing what needs to be done will come with lots of blame.
Reply #188 was misdirected to you, it was meant for JimRob.
You, however, have my permission to just go ahead and read it anyway!
Aren’t I nice?
I don't know how to stop them, but they are no better than the Rats. Also, they don't give a rats a$$ if we stay home or vote a write-in, the next president is already pre-determined.
Agreed, if Romney is the nominee, and it’s 99.99% sure he’s going to be, I’m voting for Romney. It will help delay our destruction by a good many years, I have children, they will live as free people under Romney.
Jim Rob is basically saying don’t vote for Romney, I got news for him, most of the people on this site know whats at stake, this is not a game, this is deadly serious. I for one am not operating on emotion, we can delay the war, or win a worthless little battle that ensures our utlimate destruction.
“Hey if the GOP thinks it can win without us, they should go right ahead. “
Think it? They know it.
That’s sure the lay of the land as I see it from a mile up.
Unfortunately, those taking a stand on principle are being derided by their fellow conservatives. It is a shame this rancor and division has manifested itself over supporting a proven liberal as an alternative to Obama.
I'll be the bitter clinger, then. I'll keep my guns, religion and my principles.
I will agree that Romney is liberal, but one thing he is not is ANTI-American. Will I vote for Romney? Who knows, but one thing is for sure. Another four of Obama will most likely give us one or two more awful justices who we will have to live with for YEARS after Obama is gone. That coupled with the latest “I’ll have more FLEXIBILITY” comment to Medvedev just gives me chills as to what kind of America we will have in 2016.
Mark my works, after reading what I have read, we could very well see in our time a new civil war or revolution, it is that very bad.
Personally, Im going to back whomever the GOP nominates and it looks to be Romney now! Not going to cut off my nose to spite my face! Period!
I see this SOS repeated again and again on this thread. And many others threads also.
And I wonder how this rhetoric is any different than black voters saying they will vote for Obama simply because he is black.
Goose-stepping to the polls is wrong. I don’t care what color your jack-boots are. It’s just wrong.
sorry to butt in Jim .... Laz, speaking for me only, me always seeks another option when either option under consideration equals death. Like those other options to go around and leave death in the dust.
I'm not hearing a ded-gum peep from our leaders here in Texas regarding the shaft we Texans just received.
This whole two party system, two party primary cycle is about as corrupt as the day is long.
This GOP nod was purchased lock, stock and barrel. We the people have lost our voice. It's all about the almighty dollar.
If BHO is re-elected then every single American who voted for him or who wasted a vote against him by sitting out or going third party WILL be responsible.
They can brag to their grand-children about the principled stance they took as America died. The kids won't be hard to find....everybody will be living in the same government housing.
Ya mean Krystall Nacht for the womb, doncha? Romney already told Katie Couric in Dec 07 'twas "OK" for parents to give their offspring to "research."
Apparently, ya don't give a rat's ass about their survival, just your own ass...
Self-survival is exactly the OPPOSITE of picking up your cross & following Jesus!
House Republicans have done a pretty good job opposing everything Obama wants to do. I guarantee you that if Romney got into office and wanted to do THE EXACT SAME THINGS, most of the Republicans would go along with him. The notion that we can trust a candidate to push a conservative agenda who has been on every side of every issue as fundamental as abortion, homosexual marriage, taxes/fees, gun control, etc. is preposterous. Not to mention, once he actually does this stuff, he is likely to lose a lot of conservative support from people who just don’t know his Massachusetts record, and lose the presidency in 2016. He might possibly even lose to Obama, who will be able to pack Congress with a liberal majority and pass single payer health care, homosexual marriage, and the rest of his agenda.
‘At least, Im FOR TRYING to stop Romney by denying him the 1144 delgates. You, not so much.”
me not so much? right.
Right on! We already know who’s getting our POTUS votes!
Let the GOP’s “moderates” run him through. The Rinos don't want and don't think they need conservatives for power.
We should target rinos in elections downstream, too. They don't need conservative votes and America does not need a one party totalitarian system.
Very well said!
Will not be staying home but will not vote for Romney. May not even vote for president but do have several other races to vote in. It might even send the message to the GOPe if they see a total disparity between true conservative getting vote totals that do not go along with Romney’s
Yea 4 more years of Zero!!!!
>>after reading what I have read<<
If it’s a good read.....pass it on.
I do love how FR trains people to write in a way that guarantees dissension.
You could write:
"I think we can agree that the charts in your post underscores the reality that the government continues to grow spending without limit, even when Reagan was president."
But FR posting rules require a quick "either X, or you're a goddam ignorant whore bastard!" LOL.
This society is completely toasted.
Amen! No votes for Romney, No votes for Obama!
1st Amendment, please?
Yes, the 1st Amendment is in full effect here and on every website in the USA, to wit, the GOVERNMENT can’t stifle your speech here. THAT is what the 1st Amendment guarantees.
Your speech here is at the behest of the good graces of the site owner and his delegated representatives. Calling the site owner’s opinion “ignorant”, even if it is, is hardly a good way to remain in the site owners good graces, by who’s grace you have a forum here.
Or would you cherry pick constitutional free speech rights at the expense of constitutional property rights. The electrons used to store all this information is on JimRob’s private personal property and he is sole arbiter of whether or not they are kept or added to or deleted.
Go ahead and insult the site owner, but it is at your own risk. That’s all I’m saying.
By the way, his argument is FAR from ignorant. I disagree with him that we can survive 4 more years of Obama, but his argument is still a measured and intelligent one, that any real or perceived gain I have from removing Obama in the short term, would be nullified and made far worse by the longer term damage of appeasing the RINOs in the GOP.
I disagree with his assessment but I fully recognize he may well be right about that.
He just believes the truth is different from what you believe. He is not ignorant. He is especially well informed.
Long live the Republic !!!
May Republicans be replaced by USAians.
Issue our marching orders!
It wasn't Free Republic that chose Romney over Newt.
It's going to take courage and providence will to come to our aid. I can assure you God will be on the side of those who lay it on the line for the principles he gave us to uphold and live by.
A nation that casts its vote for a leader who condones the destruction of the innocent will eventually be destroy itself.
How many times does history have to repeat itself? Have some courage and make a stand for what is right before it's too late.
Stop posting like an idiot.
There is a simple computer algebra equation:
R(esult)=Four more years of Obama
Bush the Younger was pretty successful in ramming down his "Compassionate Conservative" program down the throats of a GOP Congress that would of been DOA if proposed by a Democratic POTUS.
Your wasting a vote if you vote for Romney.
Do the simple math: There's NOT enough voters in this country to vote for TWO mainstream socialist healthcare, pro-abortion, pro liberal judge appointing "messiah" or "I'm a god-in-embryo" POTUS candidates.
There's just not.
Every single person who casts a vote for the loser Romney will simply...
...become an apologist for a cult
...become an apologist for socialist healthcare
...become an apologist for abortion
Why waste your reputation...
...your supposed "conservative" credentials
...on a "loser" like Romney...
I don't think even think he can capture 1/3rd of the vote...close but no cigar.
When that happens, those who tarnished themselves by linking themselves with Romney the Titanic will go down with him, bringing the GoP down with him...
You are correct this is not a game, and the GOP-E is playing it as a game of Grab ass in the Shower.
They are the ones who need to be shut down not us.
And No Romney will not be a great President he will be just as liberal as Ubama just with an "R" by his name.
I have Children Too, and I don't wan them living in a country were the Lib's run wild because the "Loyal Opposition" remains that way because of their self inflicted cowardice to try and fight them.
NO TO ROMNEY! He needs to go not us conservatives!
You're not alone.
Posted from Realville.
She'll be at the convention. I don't know if she gets to speak although she should. I'd like to see her speak early on in prime time so the country gets to see who the real star of the Republican party is.
FWIW Im getting a bad feeling that she may endorse Romney...sigh.
I expect if Romney gets the nod, she will endorse him. That's where I party company with Palin. I'll be voting an alternative party or a write-in.
Personally, I believe that a new party with Palin/West as the nominees could defeat both Romney and Obama in a general election.
I've been a Freeper for a long time and a lurker longer than that. I came here because of the conservative thought and discussion. I stayed because I got addicted. I respect what has been built here and the man who built it, but unlike others, I am not a lemming.
I voted for Newt in my state's primary and would happily vote for any of the other Republican candidates in the general election, with the exception of Mittens. He is a buffoon and does not possess a single conservative instinct. In my opinion, he is almost the same as Hillary politically.
The reality though, is there is going to be an election in November. Two candidates are going to be in contention to win and as long as Obama is one of them, I will vote for the other. Period. If Romney gets the Republican nomination I will vote for him, as long as Obama is the opponent. If by some chance Obama get's run off and Hillary became the Democrat nominee, I would likely reconsider and simply abstain.
For me anyway, the difference is this: Romney (and Hillary for that matter) are liberals and will push for liberal policies. The United States will likely survive either of them. I'm not so sure about Obama. If he get's elected, what exactly is going to keep him in check? He ignores the seperation of powers and the constitution and is actively trying to drive us into ruin. No matter how bad the policies of Mittens and the Hildebeast, they are infinately preferrable to an unfettered Obama.
I'll NEVER be a Romney supporter, but I may end up voting for him. Sometimes you have to give immunity to the drug dealer to convict the murderer. If it ends up being an elcetion between Romney and Obama, I for one will hold my nose and vote Romney. Then at least I will live to fight another day. If we all stand by and vote 3rd party or write-in, I'm not sure the country does live for another day. I choose life.
Newt's not an option in Texas?
As I have been predicting, we could be seeing a civil war or a revolution, which could end very, very badly for those who push for it.
I should have said, “Barring a miracle,” - We already know whos getting our POTUS votes!
I still believe a miracle is possible and I’m still praying, almost non-stop.
I also blame Rove the most, BUT...!
Where was Rush and Hannity and other conservative voices?
They could have combined out of the gate to say “Vote for Santorum” or “Vote for Bachmann” or Perry or whoever. Even if I didn’t like the choice, they could have combined to endorse the most conservative candidate they wanted to see, and stolen Romney’s momentum and thrown it to their candidate.
But no! These greedy asswipes stayed safely and cowardly on the sidelines until they could later support the winner after the smoke cleared.
A pox on all of them and their childrens, childrens, children. Greedy cowards. They were worse than worthless in both this election and the last with McCain. Rush bashed McCain but STILL REFUSED to endorse a conservative.
It will lose.
At some point, conservatives must wake up and realize that we are not a majority except in our own minds. We are only a plurality. And the only way we're going to get conservativism enacted into law is by guile, and by making issue by issue alliances, on which there is enough agreement that we can get temporary majorities. That is how the left got this country where it is today despite being an even smaller minority then the the right.
Victory tends to go to the smartest, not the most stubborn.
I agree jersey, and they continue to do so.
