George Zimmerman attorneys quit as counsel

This story will be updated as new events unfold

•Zimmerman's attorneys announced they have stepped down and are no longer representing him
•Attorneys say Zimmerman has not stayed in contact with them, scheduled media appearance with Sean Hannity on his own
•"It's no so much that we are resigning. It's that we cannot continue to represent him until he comes forward," said attorney Craig Sonner
•"He's got to reach out to us," Uhrig said

Despite stepping away from Zimmerman as a client, both attorneys say they continue to believe he acted in self-defense. "We frankly believe the correct decision will be to not charge him," Uhrig said.

The attorneys say they know of Zimmerman's location and have his personal phone number but have been unable to reach him directly for 48 hours.

"George can't go out and buy a Diet Coke. There's a bounty on his head," Uhrig said.

oh goodness. you just made me look dreadful. The angels probably just popped a jewel out of my crown! I did not have that many to start with. I will try to be more kind. (But still....there was something a bit calculated about his appearance and how anxious he was to be interviewed...oh dear...never mind..I will stop!) Thank you for leading by example.

"Why should an American citizen who has done nothing wrong and has not been charged with a crime stay in touch with attorneys?"

Did you get the memo that a Mr. Barack Hussein Obama now occupies the oval office and a Mr. Eric Holder is presently the attorney general?

Just brainstorming. You may be right. But he did mention that it was Zimmerman voice. That they sounded exactly alike.
(I haven’t talked to my sister for years and don’t think I’d come on national TV and say kind things about her if she’d done something bad.....I’d think what goes around comes around and her lifestyle finally caught up with her)

A person in his situation is very unwise to stop communicating with his lawyers and doing anything, especially like talking the DA or the media or setting up a website without consulting with them first. If he wasn’t happy with his representation, of course he’s free to and should obtain other council. But a wise person doesn’t do that by just ignoring them and going rouge. You obtain new council and your new council notifies your prior council and between them, they set up a smooth transition of the case.

For the lawyers to come forward with a news conference after talking to him on Sunday. This is Tuesday afternoon. Thirty hours or so. Doesn’t make sense for THeM to be in such a panic. Surely they know how to get hold of his family. His family would know if he is alright etc.

They have put him in a “worse” position by stating they don’t know where he is....Am sure the TanKlan will now double their efforts.

When a client stops communicating and then does things on his own like talking to the DA and setting up interviews, the lawyers really have no choice. Their butts are on the line if the client get’s himself in even more trouble unless the lawyers clearly states that it was done without “council”.

I’ve thought all along that Zimmerman seemed reasonably intelligent.

And I always thought he was a complete knob.

At least one of us is wrong.

A bounty!!! How in the h3ll is this even legally possible in America? I know holder is a racist POS but there MUST be a
law against the racist trash that put a bounty on him!

Either the justice department enforces the law or it is up to real Americans to deliver justice.

Do these traitors to our Constitution really want to start a real, live civil war?

Nothing wrong with brainstorming. Most of us are doing exactly that. There is alot of information we do not have. What else can we do?

Dumb move.

I suspect Mr. Zimmerman just wants to clear his name, and have his side of the story told. The sad thing is that no longer matters.

The “we” refers to those who believe a person has a right to self defense, even to the point of killing someone to protect oneself from an attack. If that does not include you, then you are right you are not Zimmerman.

Can someone please tell me why Hannity has any clout or followers at all?
He repeats himself incessantly, he turns every topic into something that is about him, and he constantly uses the same tired cliches.

Yup. He’s a broken record.

If I were in George Zimmerman’s shoes, I would be pleading my innocence from the rooftops. That’s just me.

Well, then you should definitely watch this and then tell me if you still think George should talk to anyone without his attorney present. At least his father, as a Virginia magistrate, should have good advice for George, even if George doesn't know what to do.

HMMmmmmm

If I were getting ready to file suit for mega money, I'd want some tangible evidence to use in court to show just had distressed and destitute the situation had made me....

Maybe set up a website begging for money to pay my bills.

Or do some absolutely unwise, even crazy actions the would draw attention to my stressful desperate situation.

Now no lawyer would endanger their career by actually being a part of this. (wink wink)

If THIS was the plan they would definitely have to recluse themselves at least until he seeks mental health care.

And again. No. We are not. I would not have made any of the decisions Zimmerman made. He made one bad decision after another.
