Jim Rob Is Right - But Conservatives Here Have TWO Jobs To Do!

First - blow off that feeling that we're going to lose, or already have lost! No, we're going to WIN.

First item of business, get invovlved in the Tea Party movement, and give D.C. a whole new influx of conservatives in Congress similar in size and importance to that of the last election - thereby blocking any of Obamas chances of having Congressional support for his machinations. Note too, the Tea Party used the GOP vehicle, not a third party. Reason, third parties are losers, because they don't have the national organization and presence large enough to compete.

FReepers need to get involved locally. There are tens of thousands of empty seats in local district Committees of the GOP across this nation - caused mostly by conservative appathy! Just by showing up regularly, you can be assured of gaining a seat from which you can VOTE - go to your county committees and vote there - and go to your state party conventions and vote there! (I personally helped see the ouster of liberal GOP control of the California GOP. Yes it was hard work, but we won - and that win has been, and can be duplicated in these perilous times through the 'hard work' of just SHOWING UP!)

Conservatives have a chance to block Obama, if not replace him. We CAN do that, but conservatives can not win by voting third-party - it's a throw-away vote that nets nothing.

The current GOP-E is NOT the friend of FREEDOM - but they are a very tiny group of RINO's that we can beat the snot out of - simply by doing what we can at the local district and state level. We - FReepers, and other dedicated conservatives - can and have ultimately fielded who becomes part of the GOP establishment. We need to OWN it like we did in the Reagan era, not destroy it through lack of attention to our God given orders to be 'watchmen on the wall' of who become our leaders.

No - it's not too late to shoulder your own responsibility - and earn your own right to say, 'I have fought the good fight, and WE WON.' There will be many opportunities in coming days to 'get involved' - don't let them slip by. Take advantage of the huge opportunities - you can, and will make a difference! It is quite fulfilling to debate hated RINO's FACE TO FACE - WIN when the vote is tallied - and see them denied a seat in party or public office!

Last but not least - we ALL need to get behind our Freepathon. Isn't it worth at least a dollar per day to you to come here, read, post, laugh and debate? Yes, I know, times are rough, and the 'cost of living' has gone way up. But, I'll bet you blow a lot on chocolate cake and ice cream or (insert your favorite deserts) - I, unfortunately, do! So let's all try to push this FReepathon toward an early completion - it might help save your waistline! LOL

Agree. We need to have another result like 2010 in Congress, or maybe even better. Yeah that worked out well. The debt has gone up two trillion and they have stopped and\or repealed nothing. To Hell with them! THEY ALL MUST GO!

Majority and seniority means everything in Congress. We need to elect more people like we did in 2010. It took 17 years for the Donks and RINOs to destroy the Reagan revolution. We can't take it all back in one election.

They need both to stop him.

There are way too many things trying to pop. From birthers to Israel/Iran to the SCOTUS decision, to him being finally vetted during the election.

I think he may actually melt down on live TV.

BTW, I don’t expect it until late summer or early fall. And as time passes and events unfold, I’m more convinced than ever.

"Now that Romney has the nomination sewn up..."

It's not sewn up until the convention, or until he has a clear delegate count of 1144. He's 480 shy, and may not in fact have 1144 by the opening of the convention.

That very much depends on voters in the 17 or so states that have yet to vote, and many more are planning to vote to stop Romney in those states. They can still vote for Santorum, Gingrich and Paul - and I know many are working to make sure the turnout is high in Texas and in other states.

There are very many voters quite angry in those states, because they have not voted, and don't like the top-down declaration of victory for Romeny when in fact he does not have sufficient number of delegates.

Some are starting legal action to put muscle behind their anger over what they see as blatant disregard for law. Who knows what might come of it. Mitty isn't going to have a cake-walk from what I see.

That is TOP PRIORITY!!! Even if Obozo gets 4 more years, if we, with Conservative candidates, take the Senate and keep the House, we can keep his Marxist agenda in check.

They need both to stop him

You're not going to find many John Boehner fans here my friend. Nothing had ever been initiated or attempted to put foward anything that would stop him from the House. Never even made any attempts. The House CONTROLS the purse strings.

For that reason alone it's unlikely we will win the Senate.

The other reason is: crowds of Republicans will not be rushing to the polls to vote for a Mitt Romney. Those that stay home (and there will likely be many) will of course not be voting for Senators and Representatives.

“It’s a description of reality. I will never vote for Obama. I will never vote for Romney. Both of them are really bad for this country and I will not lend my support to either—ever.”

That’s fine, so long as you exercise your right to vote, whether 3rd party, write in, or whatever. If you fail that, then I’m not interested in any of your opinions because you have failed to qualify for having a relevant opinion!

Nice thought, but forget it. Even if things “pop’, the GOP hasn’t the testicular fortitude to do anything. They’re afraid of being called ‘racists’ more often and louder than ever by every member of the press from national news to the local shopper papers. They’d rather see the nation laid waste than dare accuse this **** of anything other than being a meanie.

Obama has given us Kagan and Sotomayor and lots of other evil leftist judges.

While I am for ABO, Romney is a bitter horse pill to swallow.

Both are pro-abortion, anti-RKBA, and pro-"healthcare" (mandated State 'insurance'--state mandated expenditures just because you exist--and ultimately, the determination of whether you will be allowed to continue existing).

I just can't vote for anyone who is against Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, and I really don't give a d@mn what letter trails their name.

From the judicial aspect, Romney has had the opportunity to appoint conservatives to the bench. How well did that work out?

It was bad enough when there was a clear lesser evil to vote for, but now it has become obvious to me that the two sides (D, R) of the same (ever thinner) coin have sold out the People entirely, even while claiming to have our best interests at heart.

The slim thread is that while we KNOW Obama will appoint SCOTUS justices hostile to original intent, and will pack the bureaucracy with others who will ardently usurp power, while we HOPE Romney won't do the same?

This is an unacceptable 'choice', like allowing someone facing a firing squad to choose which rifle gets the blank cartridge, or which power company provides the juice to power up 'old sparky'.

Our hope is not to pack an unconstitutional leviathan with 'favorable assets', but in eliminating that bureaucracy which legislates against our Republic daily with the stroke of a keyboard.

Our hope is not in electing someone who might safeguard a couple of our Rights over someone who definitely will destroy as many as he can. Are we dogs lurking under the dinner table hoping against hope that someone might drop a crumb or scrap so we can scramble for it while those who are supposed to serve us dine lavishly upon the fruits of our labors?

Will Romney, in all his pandering, change that (for the better)? Or will the selfsame policies which have elevated those in positions in Government well beyond even my alleged 'wealth' continue unabated, utilizing my hard-earned resources to subsidize their waste, to subsidize programs doomed to fail (at someone else's profit), to support those who will not (not cannot) support themselves, and to decry and fight against the very means by which I gain my sustenance they so ardently tap?

I have no faith in Romeny to even hold the line, much less set things right. His judicial appointments have favored the Left. His policies as Governor, if taken nationally, are adversarial to my Rights, especially the RKBA, and the Right to NOT subsidize abortion in any form (a deeply held religious belief). Mandating that I conform to even the policies of that State would fly in the face of my deeply held religious beliefs at best, and make an instant criminal of me at worst because there are some edicts with which I simply will. not. comply.

We need a majority in both Houses, and we need those who will take the others to task to fight for the Constitution.

Without that, even if a Republican wins the White House, all they will get is the opportunity to be blamed for the collapse of the dollar (like Bush was blamed for the collapse of the housing market after years of CRA), loss of reserve currency status, widespread civil unrest, the likely demise and balkanization of the Republic, and the worst economic depression in this continent's history.

Since much of that seems likely anyway, (because none in the lineup will undertake the draconian cuts necessary to prevent it), perhaps it would be just as well to let the blame fall on the Marxist/Communist/Socialist/Democrats where it belongs.

Then we’re screwed.

I believe that’s the case one way or another anyway. Heck, I felt that way in 2008 when I told my republican friends they may not want their guy to be president when the biggest economic collapse in the history of mankind happens.

Thing is, I believe we are utterly screwed no matte who becomes president. So that is a relatively low priority issue for me.

Agree with you. The judges alone are a reason to vote for ANY candidate over Obama. To think otherwise is purely foolish.

Kicking the captain off the Titanic doesn’t suddenly right the ship.

Obama and his entire ship; need to sink. . .

(Just caught Obama 'speeching' ; again per his 'ad nauseum' MO. One must seriously consider 'who' is it; that is the real acting President. This is a 'full-time' job; never more than today. This man has spent and still spends; the LEAST amount of time, working in 'Office'. A disgusting performance; by whatever measure, of course.)

So; just 'who' - beyond reach of Soros - is it; that Panetta and Obama answer to?
