The idea is that the one more evil will overplay their hand.

We’ve been selecting the “less than evil” for far too long. There IS no turning back, and its time to realize that. Stop the slow suicide. Speed it up. Get it over with.

Congratulations, Obama appreciates your de-facto support!

Hope you're ready for R2/CW2.

So you go ahead and support your boy Romney, he's a sure-fired loser, and all you are doing is supporting Obama by supporting him.

And what is your plan to get your boy in there in place of Romney?

All of these pussies whining about Romney claim to stand on principle as they ride the US down the communist shithole of Democrat policies with Obama still in office.

A viable plan I'll support against Romney. A tantrum "just to show the e-GOP who is boss" is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of given Obama's track record in three short years and what he's sure to accomplish with a cowed GOP in charge of the House and possibly the Senate over another term.

Better to just take over from within.

They won't let you. Now what?

"Obama doing evil all at once will wake the sleepers."

One might look at the facts of the sweeping Tea Party / GOP victories of the 2010 Election and suggest...

...and further, the only reason Mittens is the candidate is because FIVE! conservatives decided to split the baby rather than coalesce, right to this very minute.

Here's another certainty for you: if Obama gets re-elected, conservatives will grow stronger in the Republican party and Obama will be at least as despised across America as he is now, very probably MUCH MORE despised.

Here's another certainty for you: in the next four years, Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy will each turn 80 years old. If Obama gets to replace either one of them, a far left-wing Supreme Court will be legislating from the bench for the next 30 years. There are also dozens of appellate court and district court judges that will be filled for life during the next 4 years.

Then there is Obamanation healthcare deform. Unless the Supreme Court throws out the entire monstrosity this summer, the only way to get rid of it will be with a Republican President and a Republican controlled House and Senate. If Obama gets re-elected, he will veto any bill to rescind Obamanation healthcare deform that makes it out of Congress.

A lot of good conservatives refused to vote for McCain in 2008. How's that hopey changey thing been working out for you?

There’s nothing level-headed about your comments, and, if your vote doesn’t count, then somebody else’s will count double in the other direction.

Here’s my comments from another discussion:

Romney was not my choice, and, to me, he was the worst of the group that ran for the GOP nomination, but...

It’s over, and now, we have to support him, even if reluctantly, because, at the end of the day, he’s many times better than the destroyer-in-chief now living at the White House.

So, I will not sit home hoping for the best, and I will not sit home in protest of what the GOP gave us, and I will not wait till 2016 to try to rescue this country. Now is the time to work to get rid of Obama via our votes. We don’t have a choice, and voting for a third party candidate won’t give us what we want. It’s time for Obama to go, and voting for the worst that “our” party gives us, is much better than allowing the worst of presidents ever to continue destroying the country.

I think the reason democrats stick together is because they know when their party is in control it actually does what it promises to do. Whereas we are forced to nominate someone who might as well be a democrat. The republican party has too many country club, elitists who are basically democrats. Democrats don’t have any conservatives in their party.

They won't let you. Now what?

If you believe that, then you are paying absolutely no attention whatsoever to what is happening at the local and state level.

The Tea Party/Movement conservative revolution in 2010 has produced incredible results. The establishment held on at the national level for a number of reasons, but that is no reason to throw up your hands and give up. Take a look at what Walker got done in Wisconsin, massive education reforms in places like Louisiana, some of things Republicans have gotten done in Florida, the overall focus on reducing union power in many/most of the states the Republicans took over (which by the way, is a dagger right to the heart of the progressive movement), etc.

Listening to some of you people I almost believe many of you, perhaps most, pay no attention to what is going on at the local level.

I will go on record.I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR A PROABORTION CANDIDATE OF EITHER PARTY, NOR WILL I VOTE FOR A proabortion independent candidate. I draw the line at abortion. I will die one day and will stand in front of my God and be judged for my life here on earth. I am registered independent- no affiliation. It is out of my hands. I could care less what other people think, I could care less what other people say. The republican party brought this on themselves. God is in control. Maybe God will tear this mess down and start over, or end it all..Call names, make threats, make fun of other people and their convictions. You are as corrupt as the system you claim to fight.. I curse the republican elites and all who support them. I curse the Democrats and the evil man who leads them.. So say I. Now, please commence with your laughter, verbal abuse, slander and inuendo..

I have no plan but to find an actual conservative to vote for.

As for a strategy for winning, I intend to hold onto my dignity, my honor, my principles, and my morals.

I will fight to the end to ensure that both the crypto-communist Obama AND his 2nd cousin, the lying, Left-Wing, Progressive Liberal Mitt Romney do not become President.

I'm with Alexander Hamilton when he said:

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

Here we go again. Post a Vanity and get everyone all worked up. Your guy didn't make it through the Gauntlet and that's that. Now you decide that you can't live with the guy who did make it through without your vote and without the vote of probably every FReeper.

My question is, what's the point? I assure you that you will not change one person's mind who have already decided to Vote for Romney in the General over Pharaoh Obama.

Your words will only validate those who share your all or nothing view, even it means reelecting a President who is the worst threat to our Constitution since the inception of our Country.

I am a Newt Supporter. If there is a razor thin chance that he can somehow get to the Convention using some splintered Santorum Delegates to get there, I will hold out hope. I am not betting my Country on it though.

Now, if Mitt Romney is the last man standing, and we all know he got there with the majority of Republican Primary Voters supporting him, what does abandoning the Republican Electorate accomplish? Why the answer is as clear as the nose on your face, it insures the Democrat Party will run roughshod over what remains of our Republic for another four years, if not forty or four hundred.

Another result of pushing an agenda of not supporting the Republican Nominee will the impact it will have on every Political Office down the Ballot.

After all, if the most important Vote is no Vote at all, why bother to even show up at the Polls? Maybe that won't apply in your case, but if the idea catches on that Romney will treat the Office of the Presidency in the same manner as Obama already has, all hope is gone.

Not only will Pharaoh Obama rule, and rest assured he will Rule and not Govern, he will have a Democrat House, Senate and within two years an ironclad Liberal Supreme Court to insure his Rulings will alter the course of American History.

The idea that the Country will magically wake up after eight years of Obama and insist on Conservative Governance is a fantasy. We will reach the point of no return one minute after our Candidate concedes the Election this coming November.

I will Vote Anybody But Obama, but you can do what you like.
After all, this is a Free Country, at least it is right now, sort of...

I used to think the GOP-e was the party of stupid......not anymore.

I agree. They, along with The Dems, are part of the "ruling class." They would prefer an R in office But above all it must be a big government establishment figure. They fear the people.

And they should.

Q & A

Q: The GOP’s recent “moderate” presidential candidates ...
What is their strongest area of expertise?

)))

)))

)))

A: Gracious concession speeches.

Sure sorry to see Santorum drop out.
Mittens is a pro-”choice,” anti-gun, pro-illegal alien, tax-loving, lefty looser, and he has been for years.
Why any conservative would consider supporting Obama’s older, evil brother Romney is beyond me as well.

If you believe that, then you are paying absolutely no attention whatsoever to what is happening at the local and state level.

Over the last twenty five years I served as a Republican precinct chairman, attended conventions from the county to the district to the state to national levels. I have been involved in camapaigns at all levels, in most all parts of the country. I have firm political affiliations with principled conservatives in all 50 states, and speak several times weekly with many of them.

So, your assumptions couldn't be more wrong.

Brace for this. You will hear it a lot:
_____________________________________________

Conservative: “I can’t stand Baal. He is a demon, and I have higher standards than that. Further, it is my duty to resist hell itself, and to defeat it where I can. We all have that duty.”

Party Peon: “A vote against Baal is a vote for Abaddon!!!”

Stunned Conservative. “Uh . . . No. I do not vote for demons. I am not voting for either of them.”

Party Peon: “YES YOU ARE! A VOTE AGAINST BAAL IS A VOTE FOR ABADDON! VOTE FOR BAAL BECAUSE HE IS BETTER THAN ABADDON! IF YOU DO NOT VOTE FOR BAAL IT IS BECAUSE YOU REALLY LIKE ABADDON AND WANT TO SEE HIM IN CHARGE!”

Stunned Conservative: “Dude, they are BOTH DEMONS! Either of them will make this place hell on earth! I don’t want either one in charge. I -HATE- demons and will not choose either one!”

Party Peon: “YES YOU HAVE YOU TRAITOR! YOU’RE VOTING FOR ABADDON IF YOU WON’T VOTE FOR BAAL! I WOULD VOTE FOR LUCIFER HIMSELF TO DEFEAT ABADDON, AS NOTHING EVER EVER EVER EVER COULD POSSIBLY BE WORSE THAN ABADDON!”

Stunned Conservative: “Dolt. Abaddon, Baal and Lucifer are all on the same team. They are each diabolical and I will not aid, assist or support any of them. They are DEMONS.”

Party Peon: “You are a bigot.”

No, you're just deluded. You make up a fantasy (the above scenario), describe the real world in terms of your fantasy, then make a choice in the real world with real world consequences (adding a vote for Obama by withholding a vote from his opponent and facilitating what Obama actually DOES do out of fear for what his opponent may NOT do), and then appeal to your fantasy as justification.

The Tea Party/Movement conservative revolution in 2010 has produced incredible results.

Not really. It's been diluted down to virtually nothing by Romney Republican hacks.

The first lecture the "Tea Party Congressmen" got when they hit Capitol Hill was from John Boehner telling them they would be a bunch of babies if they didn't support raising the debt ceiling two and a half trillion dollars. Which most of them ended up doing, in one form or another.

And yet you dispute how much impact the incoming Tea Party/movement conservative have been at the local and state level? For maybe the first time I can EVER remember, we are actually aggressively going after the Democrat/union goon alliance. Success at that single issue alone is, quite literally, like a driving a dagger through the heart of the Democrat vampire. We've passed school choice initiatives in several states, tuition rules are being changed just about everywhere Republicans have the numbers to force the changes through, voter ID laws being pushed in many states where it would have been unthinkable prior to 2010, gun restrictions repealed or dropped at the local and state level almost across the board, etc, etc.

I just don't see with your level of involvement and activism how you can possible be depressed.

I have yet to see anyone tell me one thing that conservatives don’t have to concede for Romney.

He won’t touch the EPA. The marxist indoctrination in our schools will continue. The illegal invasion will continue. Government intrusions into our lives will continue. The out of control spending will continue and the over taxation will continue.

All the while he’ll have John McCain, Lindsey Graham and their friends on the other side of the aisle helping him do it.
