Herman Cain drops Newt Gingrich, ready to back Mitt Romney
Politico ^ | /10/2012 | M J Lee

Herman Cain made clear Tuesday that he is ready to throw his support behind Mitt Romney, making no mention of his endorsement of Newt Gingrich.

“I have always said I will support whoever the nominee is and it looks like Mitt Romney’s going to be that nominee, and we do need to get behind him,” Cain said on Fox News. “I remind people all the time … ‘Keep your eye on the mission.’ And the mission is to get control of the Senate, maintain control of the House and defeat Barack Obama. That means get behind the nominee, so, yes, I’m ready to get behind the nominee

Cain should have emphasized that he is still behind Newt...no mention of Newt's name.

Can’t believe some of you fools are falling for another BOGUS Politico headline meant to DEMORALIZE us ABR folks now that Newt has a chance to defeat Romney again.

The article clearly states he will support whoever the nominee is, not that he’s endorsing Romney now. This is the same thing Palin and every Republican has said.

It’s not news.

Even Newt said on Sunday, he would support the Nominee, who now looked it would be romney, but he was quick to add there is a long road to go. Every other candidate has said they will support the nominee...

All conservatives of note will support Romney over Obama. Some of you people will have no one left to admire.

What did you guys suspect? All these folks are going to take the “anyone but Obama” stance. I have a feeling Palin probably will too. Man heads sure will explode here if that happens.

I am not prepared to believe that yet, even if it turns out to be true. Tell me something, what is this pull and this power the GOP-e has over everybody... Mark Levin tonight announced it was time to forget about Newt, and focus on Obama and teach Romney how to reach out to the base... I couldn't believe my ears. I was in tears. A week ago he was talking about how healthy it was to take the debate all the way to the end of the primary season. I just thought Mark Levin was different from them all... for some reason.

I will admire those that stood up for what they believe rather than chose to vote for the lesser of two evils.

In the next month or so the list of prominent conservatives who do not support Romney will be empty. You are going to be very sad.

More lies, spin, and treachery from the dishonest media.

Here are links for the Hannity interviews with Herman Cain and Newt, clearly saying IF Romney is the nominee.

You have to click on the Jimmy Carter picture to see the Cain interview.

Newt says near the end of his interview, Romney is the frontrunner, not the nominee. It’s a really good one to watch, if you have a few minutes.

The incident with Herman Cain should have been our first clue that this election was being fixed. I liked Mr. Cain too. Maybe he wouldn't have been the best man for the job, but most of us never for the chance to decide that for ourselves.

The party spent a lot of time and resources getting rid of him. I don't think they could stand that Cain was different from the cookie-cutter politicians the party had selected. Certainly, Cain's 9-9-9 plan was upsetting. It may not have been the best plan, but at least Cain had a plan. The others were sitting around with their thumbs up their orifices. The establishment couldn't stand that, so that's why they brought out all those broads to discredit him.

I'm ashamed to be a Republican.

We will have to hope that a conservative Congress holds his feet to the fire and forces him to live up to his conservative campaign rhetoric. It is not a guarantee, but it is the only thing left to hope for.

Why do I have this feeling there are behind the scenes deals going on? the day of true conservatives winning a presidential election in this country has come to a halt.

Romney is buying the gop nomination.

No way of knowing how true it is, but I have seen a few headlines romney and santorum are about to meet... maybe rick will come out of this with the vp slot or his debt paid off...

Did you listen to Mark Levin tonight? I couldn't believe it...

It would be the biggest transfer of power back to the people in the history of this country.

The whole current system is about POWER - there is so much POWER and MONEY at stake for the politicians and lobbyists, Rush says the Fair tax won’t happen with the current crowd in DC, and Boortz says it won’t happen until the people demand it.

IT IS TIME TO DEMAND IT!!!!!

Now that people are finally waking up and paying attention, it is time to repeal the abomination of the 16th amendment, and return to liberty.

9-9-9 as a transition to the Fair Tax would get us back on the path to freedom.

(From Newt FB Page): Yes, the server is experiencing a lag time because of the influx of supporters and donations coming through. This is a good thing! Please be patient, the site is not down, it is working and processing all the donations as quickly as possible.
1. Don’t hit refresh, it will result in a double donation
2. Don’t hit back, as it will cause you make a double donation or have to start over.

Donations are going off the charts today! We don’t want to discourage anyone from doing so. Please be patient, and know that each individual donation is very much appreciated as is your time and effort.

Cheerful NEWTrons will not allow the Conservative Flag to touch the ground! Fighting for Newt and our country is a beautiful and inspiring thing!

You can donate to Newt at:

https://www.newt.org/donate

You can make phone calls from Newt’s National Phone Banks

www.newtsnetwork.com Just click on “Make the Call”

Just a few calls per day, everyday, adds up and helps alot. Especially if you try and find friends and family to join.

Newt has a brand new opportunity to start moving again, and getting some momentum. we have to help him get started!

Thanks for considering.

No, I missed Levin. Is he backing Romney now too? there is some wheeling and dealing going on and I won’t post my thoughts as it is speculation. We will witness the strength of the true conservatives vs the moderates now.
Brace yourself as Santorum may very well endorse Mitt.

He opened the show saying he thought Newt was losing it... that on Sunday he said he belived Romney was the likely nominee and then today he told sean he was staying in... he said both things on both shows. He believed romney was likely and he was still staying in and going to tampa...

Then levin went on and said Newt should have supported Santorum in a united conservative front...

And then about 20 min into the program, after trashing Newt, and talking glowingly about Santorum, he said it's time to focus on Obama... and help Mitt pull out a conservative victory. It is worth going to the site and gettting the audio... I was in tears and got emails and phone calls from many others, it was very emotional for everyone who has been working for Newt and listens to Levin, how he just turned on newt that way, and went right into its time to support Romney.

www.marklevinshow.com and click on audio and you can download the show...

I am in shock...

If you share your speculation, I will surely consider it as such, and am not concerned if it turns out to be in accurate... I am worried about backroom stuff right now, too, this levin thing really caught me offguard...

Yeah, it will be fine. The email address was just to send you campaign updates and newt appearances in your area, and fundraising...

That is quite an amazing graphic there... do you really think it can help, calling the GOP? I just thought it would be a waste of time, but maybe not...

IF enough people call and stop sending them money they will have no choice. How long will they run one rino after another while selling out our country? I thought the Tea Party would be a much stronger voice but they have become watered down.

Okay, I might start passing the word then... so many so-called tea party leaders are supporting romney already... they have really lost their way, many of them..

I am going to bed. Hope you are okay and seeing this as a positive thing for Newt... You are right, what you said in one of your earlier posts, it is a good thing to have this line in the sand... it will be very decisive and illuminating...

God Bless your rest and have a great day tomorrow!

Then there are those people who do not know how to manage a campaign and are deep into debt to the point of writing rubber checks.

That doesn’t show an ability to handle finances. Maybe that person is really happy now because they know they can get some suckers to send them cash to help pay off their debts while knowing they have no chance in hell to win.

I would say a person who has a large family, a nice home and most of those kids are grown has done a great job of managing family. Dropping out before getting into more debt shows an ability to quit throwing cash at a lost cause.

I doubt you will hear Rush endorse Romney and Perry recently confirmed his committment to Newt.**********

The difference being that Cain is a huckster. Anyone paying attention saw that with his racebaiting over the ni****head incident. Also, Cain said early on that Romney was one of the two candidates he most admired, not to mention his endorsement of Myth before Super Tuesday in 08.

Herb can’t go away quickly enough.

Herman Cain made clear Tuesday that he is ready to throw his support behind Mitt Romney, making no mention of his endorsement of Newt Gingrich.

Cain, being a man of faith should be more than aware of romney's background and the statements of the founders of his faith and their practices until recent times.

Doctrine is doctrine, and when the democrat media dogs explain that doctrine in 30 second sound bytes on TV, it will destroy the credibility of not just romney, but anyone who backs him.

When the media destroys romney, they will be using proven facts that will be easy to verify.

Cain should be smarter than this. Then again, maybe not.
