It really is.
An astounding, miraculous twist is how Patricia
Neal came to know the Abbey and her last years
changed as they unfolded.

In the 40’s Neal had starred with married Gary
Cooper in a movie, and they had an affair. She
got pregnant and had an abortion, something she
said pained her all her life. Separately, Cooper
later in life converted to Catholicism.

Years afterward, it was Cooper’s daughter Maria,
who allegedly spat at Neal in public after the
scandalous affair, who reconciled with Neal, and
who reached out to her suggesting she spend time
decompressing at the Abbey.

Miracles.

Enjoy the movie! Be interested to see what
you think. The clips I’ve seen show Streep
overplaying the role and then subtlely
demeaning Thatcher, so I had no desire to see
it. But I knew Hollywood would reward her for
her portrayal of a staunch conservative they
despise.

Sorry to hear that. My eldest daughter had that and an operation at the age of 16. Long time ago. My pinched nerves are in my neck and have more then a few screws in my neck. I can’t get thru some metal detectors. I just tell them to keep the wand out. LOL!
