“but because he made a series of horrifically dumb decisions that lead to the death of another human being.”

Your logic is horribly flawed. Are you contending that because person x initiates event A, in a series of events (A, B, C, D, E), he is ultimately responsible for event E?

If I sell a hammer to someone who lends it to a friend, and that friend uses it to bash someone’s head in am I responsible?

In the context of this case, if Zimmerman leaves his vehicle, loses Martin, and is assaulted on his way back to his truck is he responsible for Martin’s death?

the only way I could see charges being filed... is if Zimmerman said there was a struggle over the gun to police, and forensic tests found that Martin never touched the gun as Zimmerman claimed (no idea if he did).

Being caught in a lie like that would justify charges, otherwise I can't see it.

How do you feel about these cases? In the last one - where the white young people were tortured, raped and murdered, the blacks might get off... How does that feel to you?

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2870663/posts

On March 14 in Tulsa, Okla., a white couple suffered a home invasion by Tyrone Woodfork, a 20-year-old black man. Ninety-year-old Bob Strait suffered a broken jaw and broken ribs in the attack. His 85-year-old wife, Nancy, was sexually assaulted and battered to death, ending their 65-year marriage.

On March 4, two black Kansas City, Mo., youths doused a 13-year-old boy in gasoline and set him on fire, telling him, “You get what you deserve, white boy.” Last summer, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel ordered an emergency shutdown of the beaches in Chicago because mobs of blacks were terrorizing white families.

Several years ago, in Knoxville, Tenn., a young white couple was kidnapped by four blacks. The girl was forced to witness her boyfriend’s rape, torture and subsequent murder before she was raped, tortured and murdered. Before disposing of her body, the three men and one woman poured bleach or some other cleaning agent down her throat in an effort to destroy DNA evidence. A jury found the four guilty, and they were sentenced, but because of the judge’s drug use, a retrial is being considered.

None of those black-on-white atrocities made anywhere near the news that the Trayvon Martin case made, and it’s deliberate. Editors for the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times and the Chicago Tribune admitted to deliberately censoring information about black crime for political reasons

I wholey agree Zimmerman was under no requirement to follow the advice of the dispatcher. Never said he was legally obligated to follow their advice.

What I said was, he chose not to follow that advice, just like he chose to leave his vehicle in the first place, instead of just calling it in and waiting.

Zimmerman’s got culpability here, trying to claim otherwise is just living in denial.

Zimmerman should face manslaughter charges, and frankly, I suspect he’s going to lose. Time will tell.

If sentenced to prison, for protection will George Zimmerman join a white or hispanic prison gang?

So many things wrong with this whole affair

1. Blown out of proportion
2. Grandstanding
3. Political agenda
4. Mob rule
5. Miscarriage of justice
6. Who would want to be on the jury unless he was convinced of guilt to be empaneled.
7. Who on the jury could have a life after a finding of not guilty
8. Rodney King all over but being made a national scale topic
9. Hope this spreads and we have the war that is long overdue... terrible but necessary.
10. Ruined lives

.....does not mean Zimmerman has no culpability in the situation his actions helped create.

What situation did he (Zimmerman) help to create?

If you saw a suspicious person in your neighborhood and kept an eye on him is that creating a situation?

If he attacks you, have your rights to self defense somehow been negated because you were watching him?

Isn't this the Government that keeps telling us over and over, in fact it is their slogan, if you see something say something?

Or does that only appy to White, Christian, returning Military Vets?

fact, the evidence shows that Zim's story that he was retreating to his vehicle, when confronted and attacked by Martin, is true. Check out the map of the scene at www.wagist.com, and then tell me if you still believe the MSM's lies about who confronted whom. ________________________ Waglist - Evidence that Trayvon Martin Doubled Back Map claims GZ's location was from the first encounter. SayS GZ was parked at 'C' location.

” Sorry, but if you think Zimmerman didn’t leave his vehicle, against better judgement “

What is the penalty for going against Hamilton Jay’s “Better Judgement” ?

Where is it in the penal code?

Adolf would have REALLY loved you, man : )

“If it goes to trial, the so-called jury of his peers will be half black, a quarter mexican and a quarter white, but all bleeding heart democrats”

The peremptory challenges during jury selection are going to be interesting to watch.

The defense will use these challenges to exclude blacks.

The prosecution will use them to exclude -hispanics-.

Will that leave a disproportionately “white-majority” jury?

I guess they want to delay the riots until after the acquittal.

What is the LEGAL standard for culpability?

If a woman goes outside wearing something besides a burqa is she culpable for a Muslim man’s rape of her - because her actions helped create that situation? I guess any gal who gives a guy a hard-on will have to end up in prison because - after all - her actions created his arousal.

This is standard sharia philosophy. It’s also the standard excuse for abusers of every kind.

The law considers aggravating circumstances as a reason to lessen the guilt of someone. So that if Trayvon was accused of assaulting Zimmerman, Trayvon could receive a lesser charge because it was AGGRAVATED assault. But unless they’re going to charge Zimmerman with either stalking or hitting Trayvon first, the whole “he was asking for it” bit doesn’t fly.

hm.. lets see ... according to you ... you can't get out of your car in your own neighborhood... you can't walk down the sidewalk... and you can't ask someone what they are doing? great country you live in, wish I lived in a different one. I can guarantee you 100% that if I were Trayvon that night I would still be alive and none of this would have occurred. Someone asks you what you are doing... you simply answer the question, end of encounter.

In the 1980s in Fullerton, California (site of the infamous police beating recently) a black man killed a white man in a parking lot outside a nightclub. The facts of the case were not in dispute. Eyewitnesses saw the man strike the other, and the one punch either struck the victim in the temple, causing instant brain trauma, or the man’s head hit the curb as he fell. I can’t remember exactly. In any event, he died at the hands of the other.

What precipitated the fight was an altercation inside the nightclub. There were accusations of racial slurs toward the black man, and alcohol was involved. The two “took it outside.” The man who killed the other was a reserve QB on the Titan team, back in the days when CSUF had a football team.

No charges were filed against the survivor of the fight. The DA said it was a fair fight, with both parties responsible for the events. Yet, I saw a “situation his actions helped create.” Do you agree charges should have been filed in that case, or just in Zimmerman’s?

The evidence is what will get the charges set. Not some ethereal race-baiting technique of the left.

I have said this before, and I will say it again. As soon as Zimmerman left his truck, he became the aggressor, regardless of his retreat.

You cannot become the aggressor, and them claim 'self-defense' when things go wrong.

Every DA, and prosecutor I know has said this would be the charge. Man 1, reduced sentence.

You're quite emotional, aren't you.

sEE 251 - Which is quite the opposite from the 911 tape where GZ says:

Zimmerman: We’ve had some break-ins in my neighborhood and there’s a real suspicious guy. It’s RETREAT VIEWR Circle. The best address I can give you is 111 Retreat View Circle.

This guy looks like he’s up to no good or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around looking about.

*Martin walks near Zimmerman’s SUV as he heads towards the clubhouse.

Here is where Zimmerman says: “Now he’s coming towards me.”

dispatcher: Did you see what he was wearing?

**At this point when Zimmerman answers “yeah” On the call, you can hear Zimmerman’s rustling, and perhaps he’s twisting his body around to look out the back of the SUV.

ZIMMERMAN : “Yeah, a dark hoodie like a gray hoodie. He wore jeans or sweat pants and white tennis shoes. He’s here now … he’s just staring.”

This is where Martin stops in front of the clubhouse and stares at the vehicle.

If Zimmerman was always parked at ‘C’ TWIN TREES location, then he couldn’t have seen Martin walking towards the clubhouse while “wandering around, looking at all the houses” as he said prior. He wouldn’t have seen TM until he was already at the clubhouse. GZ must have driven to reach his final parking position by (either turning around or backing up) - and in doing so, followed TM by car as well as on foot.
