I guess that means Zimmerman got in touch with his lawyers. That was a strange story yesterday. It makes me think there was more to it than meets the eye.

Yeah it seemed like the former 2 lawyers were setting Zimmerman up to not be eligible for bond, didn’t it?

“Attorney Mark O’Mara asks that people not jump to conclusions about his client's guilt.”

I already jumped to a conclusion, Zimmerman is not guilty until proved guilty beyond any reasonable doubt.

This man will not receives a fair trail, witnesses have already been intimidated, jurors have already been intimidated by the MSM, the radical left, and the black pampers.

If they decided to be tried before a judge, what if the judge is a liberal socialist black judge, you would be very hard pressed to find a conservative black judge.

I feel sorry for the Zman as he is now the scapegoat. He may never walk out alive. That would solve a lot of “problems” but lets hope our “lawmakers” have not sunk so low.

I will pray for Mr Zimmerman and I mean that literally. He will I think not walk away from this for even if a FL jury finds him not guilty, Holder has as much as said he will seek federal charges against him. For many and varied reasons it has been decided to make a scapegoat of this man and I pray for his protection. If they can do this to him, they can do it to you.

More likely they just wanted to bail out of the case when it became apparent that they would actually have to defend Zimmerman at trial. Once that process gets started they would have a hard time getting the court to let them withdraw even if Zimmerman lacked the funds to pay them. Their interest may have been limited to some quick publicity and cash.

The cowardly “lawmaker” governor passed the buck by naming a special prosecutor. Zimmerman will be found guilty. The best that he can hope for is a hung jury. Then he’ll be tried again and again unless he’s forced to take a plea bargain. Which is probably what ugly ass Corey is hoping for. All of the are cowards and that includes Co. Allen West.

I agree. The race baiters/haters are setting a precedent. They want to make an environment where whites can’t self defend against blacks, because that would be a racist hate crime. It really seems like that is what they are trying to establish here.

If they can do it to him, they can do it to anyone. If they yell and scream and threaten to riot, they can have anyone prosecuted whether it is legitimate self defense or not.

Lets all just call the “special prosecutor” and say two syllables - “Ni-Fong.”

Folks have noted that Stand Your Ground doesn't seem to apply when you've got a guy sitting on you and pounding your head into the pavement.

However, Florida's version of SYG has an interesting twist: It grants Zimmerman a try at getting the whole thing thrown out before it can get started. Blogs law professor Adam Winkler:

Traditionally, one claiming self-defense would have the opportunity to raise that defense at trial before a jury. In Florida, however, the Stand Your Ground law gives defendants like Zimmerman the right to a pre-trial hearing to challenge his indictment. At this special pre-trial hearing, which will occur long before any jury trial, Zimmerman will have the opportunity to present evidence to a judge showing he acted in self-defense. If he can show that he was acting in self-defense by a "preponderance of the evidence" -- legalese for "it's more likely than not" -- then the charges against him will be dropped and he'll never face a jury. That burden of proof is not very demanding and requires a showing far less demanding than the "beyond a reasonable doubt" test used in criminal trials ordinarily.

Let's hope he has a fair judge, who doesn't give a damn what the American sheeple think!

Remember when Nifong indicted the racists white rapists, and then his case fell apart, the charges were dropped, and he was disbarred?

Is he in custody or out on bail. Wonder when he goes before a judge.
