Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

It’s odd. So many of you good people now claim you really did vote for the rino McCain. And now, you want to re-elect Obama, I mean, that will really teach the GOP a lesson, won’t it!

Not so odd. Check my post history from back in 2008-09. I don't recall it being any big secret that I supported Palin (and McWhatsHisName), but if you discover otherwise, please let me know. It's not a "claim". It's the truth; I pulled the lever for Sarah Palin. McCain was along for the ride. And, despite my vote, Obama won regardless. Romney lost to McCain ... Romney despises Palin (and tea party types in general) ... Romney doesn't stand a snowball's chance against Obama. Romney will lose because he is a progressive liberal, and his base is more devoted to Obama than to him. Conservatives won't have much of an impact in that equation. My state of Wisconsin is a prime example. The same counties that gave Romney a victory in the primary will turn on him and vote Obama in November. Count on it. I don't think you "get it" at all.

I'm a Buddhist so I understand karma. My actions have consequences. When I form an intention and act on it I put energy, in the form of that action, that goes out into the world. Voting for Romney is to participate in what he is and give energy to that. Romney is a liberal and a liar.

If I vote for Romney I do more than give my political permission to him to be a liberal and a liar I create psychic and spiritual energy for liberalism and deceit out into the world in general. If I vote for Romney and 0bama wins I have just given more energy for 0bama's liberalism and deceit. I will not participate in creating energy for more leftist thought and dishonesty in America.

You remind me of my husband, DrO. We engage in likeminded discussions because we have 7 grandchildren whose futures we're both deeply concerned about. Unlike me he's not voting in this election, so his pro-Romney side is meant to either enforce or break my position.

Critical thinking is always extremely important, but obedience to God is imperative.

I cannot support Romney for several reasons, namely a liar can never be trusted; but also including the manner which he has "sniked" his way to his almost inevitible way to the GOP-E nomination, by trashing, bashing, and lying about his rivals, --- literally spending all but $2 Million out of $45 Million in vicious attack ads against Gingrich to first stop him in Iowa when he was running away with the election in Iowa and nationally according to every poll, and then more reccently against Santorum. He was much more effective against Gingrich, likely because voters caught onto his trash, and Santorum was a very lucky surprise who caught Romney off guard and caused him to spend the extra $20 Million.

I put most of the blame on the stupid, short-sighted electorate for falling for the attack ads they claim to hate and on the media with its lust for the horse race and never ending polls, which are meant to influence voters, not to inform voters of anything relevant. Open primaries are another sore spot altogether.

So just who is this Romney? Strange that he used all that money attacking his Conservative rivals but only spent less than $2 Million promoting himself or his visions and solutions for a better America.

Also strange, that he could not bring himself to call The Marxist Obama, a socialist but we're supposed to believe that if he's the nominee, he's really going to take it to Obama...LOL.

The GOP-E including the TV pundits are arrogantly counting on conservatives to do the right thing again: vote against Obama.

SCOTUS is at stake. Our Republic is at stake. We get it!

Now is not the time to crumble, but the time to stand strong on principle, virtue, integrity and by God, a whole lot of *ARE*!

The primaries aren't over yet! Newt Gingrich remains in the race, just like he said he would from the beginning. A brokered convention is not yet out of the realm of possibility. Vote for Newt and keep praying!

I’m still here, Jim and just as hard as nails as I have always been.

I believed Reagan when he said he changed...I will give Romney that same consideration. But it is trust and verify. If he gets into office and proves different, then I will cease all support for him in an instant...I have a hard enough time supporting him in the least in any case.

But the voters are leaving me, given my serntiments as stated above, with no other choice. I voted for Santorum here in Idaho.

As it is, I believe we absolutely have to have the House and Senate anyway, and if we do, I believe they will force Romney to fulfill the promises he is making now.

I know there is absolutely no chance of that with Obama. He will double down on his marxism, continue to pile on the debt with a will and will drive this nation into bankruptcy, insolvency and chaos on purpose in order to try and create his marxist command economy out of the ashes. This is his plan and he is on course to accomplish it.

Just as hard as I will work to get the House and Senate, for my kids and grandkids sake, I simply cannot stand by and ignore that race and allow Obama that immediate opportunity unopposed by my own efforts.

Obama has simply taken our victories in 2010 and side stepped and ignored the constitution despite our gains. He will double down on that in his second term.

As I said, it is a gut wrenching decision...but I cannot be any part of handing the presidency to Obama. I will work equally hard to ensure that our House and Senate are shored up...but will also do all I can to see Obama defeated.

I pray daily, for God in Heaven’s help and wisdom in all of this. We must all work our hardest according to the homnest, sincere, and moral dictates of our conscience and then “wait upon the Lord,” for His hand to be revealed and for His support...because we need it.

It’s my hope that He will grant it to this Republic once again, as He has so oft done in the past...despite our miscues as a nation. The principle of which, IMHO, is:
