The Obama campaign was scrambling Thursday to distance itself from comments made by a top Democratic strategist who accused Ann Romney, wife of presumptive GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, of having “never worked a day in her life.”
“Guess what, (Romney’s) wife has actually never worked a day in her life,” Hilary Rosen said Wednesday evening on CNN.

I’m a PROUD Stay-At-Home-MOM. Made that decision including all the financial implications that come with it. I worked for quite a few years before having children. It is WORK. Especially in the early years when it would be much easier to have gone to work. There are no-slacker days when you don’t give it 100%, no long lunches or showers or office celebrations, no sick days. My Mom was a SAHM as was my DH’s. I respect working women and wouldn’t want to walk a mile in their shoes. I’d be a raving witch IF I had to awaken at 4 or 5 in the a.m. and fix breakfast, lunches, get myself ready, kids ready, go work a full day and then come home and clean house, cook dinner and do laundry, help with homework and maybe crawl in bed by midnight. I’d probably be divorced. JMO
Ann Romney had five children in eleven years (1970-1981) and raised them well (except for their liberal values) while married to a man who worked long hours. While I despise her husband’s politics and will not vote for him, she has worked very hard - I’d guess that she probably never had a day off for the three decades from 1970 until 1999. Obama and those who swarm around him are disgusting.

My mom only raised two kids (and a slew of pets) and I can remember her exhaustion at the end of the day! I also remember her trying to carve out one hour a day to read a library book - in her room with the door closed. She rarely made it through that hour without one of us barging in and pestering her. Stay-at-home moms work like dogs!
It was always a communist plot to get mothers out of the house in the USA - that’s why Betty Freidan wrote her book. She was a communist, not a feminist. With mothers and fathers completely out of the picture, the government could take over.
