China deletes 210,000 online posts 'to halt rumours'
China has closed 42 websites and deleted more than 210,000 posts since mid-March in a crackdown on online "rumours", state media said Thursday, as a major political scandal rocked the country.
The three-line announcement on the official Xinhua news agency came as Chinese authorities ramped up efforts to control online speculation about the purge of a top leader whose wife is suspected in the murder of a British businessman.
It did not refer to this week's dramatic developments surrounding the high-profile and populist former leader Bo Xilai, who was sacked as Chongqing party secretary last month.
But China's weibos -- microblogs similar to Twitter that have taken the country by storm -- have buzzed with speculation about Bo's suspension from the powerful 25-member Politburo and the investigation of his wife for murder.

Thanks. Something funny going on—who knows what? The Chinese Communists are better than Barack at snuffing out rumors.
And they say that when the cat’s away, the mice will play. I wonder if this is why North Korea is messing around with missile threats again?

Coming Sooner than you think?
The USA, by an executive order of President Barrack Hussein Obama, has closed 42 websites and deleted more than 210,000 posts since mid-March in a crackdown on online “rumours” of his place of birth propagated by conservative Tea Partiers, state media said Thursday, as a major political scandal rocked the country....../S
Ping.
Maybe this guy just committed suicide. While walking through a park. In the capital of their country.
In China, Bo is their kind of reformist. He champions welfare policy, law & order, and narrowing income gap between the rich and the poor. Maybe liberals did not like “law & order” part. He is credited with sweeping criminals off the Chongqing streets.
The Chinese Goverment, just like our SOCIALIST INFESTED MSM can not handle the TRUTH or TAKE ANY CRITIZISM. They just spin THE IDEALOGICAL BS or ignore it and snuff it out. Once the TRUTH IS EXPOSED to these frauds, it’s all over for them. I can just imagine the LITTLE SOCIALIST CREEPS working behind the scenes DOCTORING THE NEWS to try and pick up OBAMA POINTS. I try to not even pass NBC, ABC, CNN and the rest of the MSM on the remote when Iam turning the channel. Financial ruin is to good for these frauds.
O’bummer is envious as China reaches out to snuff free speech.
Bo is being slammed hard. A story out of China says that his wife is investigated for murder of a Brit who she had affairs with at one point and could get death sentence. Bo or his wife are also accused of ordering the murder of six others.
The Brit was allegedly managing their stashed funds overseas. Bo was accused of bedding lots of women, a couple of dozens of them celebrities(such as pretty CCTV female anchors.) A classic laundry list of charges for political purge and show trial.
Maybe they can find a way to pin espionage on him, too. His survival all depends on how many allies he has in party and military, which I don’t know much about. It seems that his political view has a following among communist officials. However, his opponents are bent on destroying him politically for good as I said above. His quest for rehabilitation would be difficult. Somebody else could carry his mantle. His political view could have wide following if things in China deteriorates economically and social tension rises.
TigerLikesRooster, could you comment on the possibility of Bo and his wife were being framed by organized crime. That is always a question where someone in authority goes after mafia etc. and is accused of outrageous things.
